I went to the rock carvings 1day and down the river to the hot springs the next.

Guides fun, friendly, and informative both trips.

The river kayak is sooo much fun splashing around watching people bunge jumping and losing things out of their pockets on the way down and jumping out of your kayak if you feel like a swim.

The Kayak out the the rock carvings is great with stunning views all the way round you can see the skydivers float down across the lake and a dip in the lake on your tea break is just the thing to cool you down.

    Great location.

Kayaking was very relaxed but enjoyable. Cool moutain bike track, awfully manufactured bikes.

    These guys are crooks!

I rented a mountain bike from them. While changing gears in wet weather the chain and crank busted. They charged my credit card without discussing or asking and refused to listen to how it happened. Rent your bike elsewhere!

When hiring a bike clients are asked to read and understand the following:

RAPID SENSATIONS Ltd accepts that general wear occurs on our bikes through use. This includes: minor cosmetic scratches, brake and gear tuning, chains, punctures, plus general wear on grips, pedals/crank and tyres.

However breakages or loss will be charged to the hirer. the client thus signs a form to say they understand and a credit card swipe is taken as a bond and will only be charged if the bike is returned damaged or not returned at all.

We understand a client never intentionally damages the bike but when the repair cost far exceeds the cost of hiring the bike the client has to cover this cost of repair. In this case the cost was for a broken derailier , hanger, plus labour.

Went on the kayaking trip with them my goods were stolen from their van (be aware that it is their practice to leave your goods in their van in a remote location unattended ) This is not the first time

Went on the kayaking trip with them my goods were stolen from their van (be aware that it is their practice to leave your goods in their van in a remote location unattended ) This is not the first time it has happened to rapid sensations .The tour guide called my wife stupid they end the trip when ever they feel like it . they take no responsibility whatsoever for basically anything These people rely on the fact that you are a visitor .

I would strongly suggest others not to have anything to do with Rapid Sensations Ltd

    Shame,Shame Shameful and disgraceful behavior

It is always a sad day for all of New Zealand , Tourists and Tour providers when they are targeted by thieves.

On this occasion the it was suggested to the families that they may want to leave a towel and warm fleece in our vehicle so they had something warm to put on after being on the river.

Our vehicle is parked at the take out point of the kayaks in order to shuttle the clients back to their vehicles at the end of the activity.

Unbeknown to us they had also put bags containing cameras, phones, keys, wallets, credit cards, and expensive clothing into our vehicle rather than leaving these items behind in a lock up at their accommodation or locking them in their own vehicle.

At no time did anyone in this party ask if this was advisable or inform us that they had done this.

As unfortunate as this this type of incident always is, when people are traveling anywhere they have to take responsibility and care for their own belongings

I took the kayak option down the river to the hot springs with my girlfriend.

While I found the experience enjoyable and scenery beautiful our guide was less than helpful to my "first time kayaking" girlfriend. From unconstructive criticism to frank rudeness, I honestly wanted to walk off at times. The tour felt rushed with the guide moving upstream and tapping on his kayak while he waited inpatiently for us. I would strongly recommend bringing your hard earned money else!

On behalf of Rapid Sensations we would have appreciated hearing from you on the prior to this so we could have discussed your issues on this particular day and it is always a great concern to us if a guide is not looking after our clients to the standard we like to maintain. I have tried emailing you to discuss this but have had no reply. Please feel free to contact us.
