Had a fantastic helicopter trip in Taupo - I would highly recommend it.
Our pilot, Paul, was excellent - we flew right over the Lake and directly above the Hukafalls waterfalls - really was well worth the money, and to top it off, our pilot was also pretty hot! :)

I would highly recommend Helistar helicopters to anyone visiting Lake Taupo.
Our flight over the Lake and the Huka falls waterfall was stunning. The hot pilot, Paul was a bonus too ;-)

I had the most amazing time on my very first flight.
The scenery was breathtaking and the pilot (Paul) was fantastic. I hope to repeat this experience soon and will be sending all my friends in Helistars direction!

We were a bit nervous with this being our first helicopter trip.
Our lovely pilot (Paul) quickly put us at ease with his Irish charm. He brought it all to life with an in-depth knowledge of all we could see culiminating with flying into a vinyard for lunch. It truly was one of the best experiences I have ever had - thanks to all at helistar and definately reccommended for all those down Taupo way. :)

This was our second experience with Helistar, the first was in October 2007.
The pilot and flight were great, and the trip was made even better by my husband proposing. The pilot had a camera and got photos of the whole thing and had champagne waiting for us. A very very memorable day. Our second flight was on mothers day 2010 and was equally as fantastic, we took our 6 month old son who loved it. Will definitely use them again as some wonderful memories have been created. Our pilot Paul was very informative and a 'good bugger' haha.
