New World Papakura is usually a great place to shop but this morning while trying to collect mussels without getting wet and with and oversize scooper as there were no tongs was not an easy task but I
managed. There were no bag ties to keep the bag closed either. There was sanitiser but the pump on this was not working and I was unable to clean my hands. I did mention this at the checkout as no one around behind the seafood counter. With covid and other germs, I hope this will be fixed and not just left. I do enjoy shopping here and the staff are normally friendly and helpful but I felt a bit let down this morning. Luckily I have sanitiser in my car!!

I don't usually shop here so it didn't occur to me to watch the checkout operator.i place my items on the belt according to where I unpack them at home.So,frozen together,main fridge,other fridge,pantry
,none of these.Why then pack them in a completely different order? The dried soup with frozen potatoes,bottles of 7up with tins of tomatoes,hamburger buns with jars of curry mix.I hate unpacking and putting away,today I nearly went insane.Tne weird packing totally at odds with how the groceries arrived on the belt and no rhyme or reason to pack them like this.Please don't tell me it's to make it easier for me to carry I'm stronger than I look .Countdown manage to pack as I place them ,I go to a bit of trouble to sort them,lovely store,nice food, hate to complain but why?

The worst customer service, no one ever smiles, the checkout operators are miserable, no one is willing to help customers.
I shopped here for 4 weeks and not once did I feel I received good customer service. New World Southmall in Manurewa is a much happier atmosphere. I will not be returning to this miserable supermarket.
