It was perfect!
It is worth every dollar.
We caught the tour bus from the Shire.
Hey we were in Middle Earth.
Very nice experience!

Amazing day.
Tour is outstanding and the Dragon Inn at the end of the trip makes it with an included drink in your admission. Cider, beer, ale.... Staff are very enthusiastic about Hobbiton, you enjoy the tour wether you are a fan or not!

Expensive and lots of tourists.
But even with that it is a 10/10 because we were the last group so we were really along in the 'Shire' and it is a really little town that you find here. Don't need to be a LOTR fan.

Hobbiton was beautiful and so charming and bigger than we expected.
Our guide was great, both funny and informative.

Must do when you are a LOTR/Hobbit fan!
Very nice setting, details and very well maintained! Come early morning or late afternoon (because of tours/overcrowding).

Very cool place, looked a lot like in the real movie.
You even get a free drink (beer/cider) after the tour.

Although rather expensive, it is great fun to walk along the movie set of the 'Shire'.
Hearing the 'behind the scenes' information is a great plus. Very friendly tour guide and although I am not a huge Hobbit/LOTR fan, I enjoyed this trip very much!

Hobbiton was beautiful.
The gardens were stunning and our guide Sonny was upbeat and passionate. But it was packed and it completely ruined the experience. Large tour groups, could barely hear the guide. Couldn’t move or see through all of the people. 3 groups ended up merging into 1 and then we just got stuck in lines waiting for a brief glimpse at the houses. 10/10 for our guide but we hated how packed it was.

Good for Lord of the Rings fans.
A bit too busy and rushed. Staff were friendly and informative, but could have allowed more time to look around.

The whole afternoon was magical and the tour guide was very knowledgeable.
Gave a 9 as I thought it was slightly over priced but the free beer was a plus!

We did the banquet tour - dine like a hobbit!
Fantastic, loved this as a hobbit fan. Book early to get the banquet, a bit more expensive, but less people and a lot of food/fun.

The set was magical but they really rushed us through it - they do not give you time to soak it in.
The stout was tasty but five minutes until we were herded out.

The Hobbiton movie set was interesting to see if you are excited by the movies.
The guide was very good but a little bit stressful in my opinion. Also a little bit too expensive.

Very, very touristic, but for fans of the movies, a great tour through Hobbiton.
Do not let you stress from the other people who rush around and want to photograph every single vegetable and Hobbit hole. Let your fantasy create the little Hobbits who are living there and it is fantastic. Great beer in the Green Dragon at the end.

We are not huge fans on the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit trilogies, yet we enjoyed the tour at Hobbiton very much.
The grass is really very lush in The Shire and it was interesting to see how much detail was added, some not even used in the films.

A dream come true for me! Walk in Frodo's footsteps, see the whole Hobbiton and at the end you get a free beer at the Green Dragon! Definitely worth it - do not miss it, it is a NZ must do!

The tour was really worth the money we had to pay.
The set looked exactly like it was shown in the movie which I did not expect. The tour guide was very friendly and openminded. She was patient and answered all our questions.
