Meeting with a kiwi bird, awesome bird show, not so big area, typical NZ flora.

You need to pay for a Kiwi encounter, special costs.

We are an adult couple and was not interested in the children's games, rides and playground.

The park is set up for families with small children. We appreciate the efforts the park is doing for kiwi conservation and paid the high admission, but did not care to partake in the park activities other than the extra kiwi tour which we had to pay extra.

Expensive admission to the park, but we felt better knowing the money was going to kiwi conservation. We opted to pay extra for behind the scenes tour and enjoyed seeing the newly hatched kiwi. The tour guide shared lots of interesting kiwi information. Tour was short and we expected to see or hear more.

You can get very close to the kiwis and staff are very knowledgeable.

Best stocked and best value gift shop we discovered over three weeks travelling. We bought most of our gifts there.

We expected too much of this.

It was TOO commercial, and TOO expensive. You'd see the place where the eggs are brought in, one baby kiwi and 3 adult kiwi's. Not really worth $24!

Thanks for your visit. A shame you thought $24 was too expensive - were you told by your tour guide that 100% of your ticket price goes into our kiwi raise and release program? Thanks for your contribution. Great you got to see a kiwi chick too - we're the only place where you can see kiwi eggs being incubated and chicks hatching in incubators.

    Beautiful park.

The kiwihouse is great. You can see the 4 kiwis up close, no glass in between. Tip: go to the kiwihouse in the evening. Less people and the Kiwi is more active.
