We had a reasonably priced hire car from Omega for a month in NZ.
Car was clean and went well. We particularly enjoyed being able to leave it at an airport hotel rather than the base. Staff very helpful. Will use the company again.

Wai Hire Cars are wonderful!
Great prices for very well maintained vehicles. Very friendly, helpful and personalised service.
We hired a Toyota Caldina for a week while in the South Island for a sporting event and a little getaway.
Greg and his staff went above and beyond for us, taking the initiative to put bike racks on the car without us even asking for it. Very much appreciated! Even went out of his way to meet us at the airport with the paperwork rather than meeting back at the shop, and also provided a GPS.
The car itself was spotless and well looked after. Very comfortable for travelling, great on fuel, and very spacious - all handy when travelling around in NZ. We easily fit 2 large bike bags, 2 suitcases, and 2 backpacks in the car to and from our first and last destinations, and took advantage of the roofrack bike transporters throughout the rest of the trip, very handy!
Will definitely use Wai Hire cars again when returning to Queenstown, and have already recommended to friends heading to NZ.

Thank you Wai for a great experience.
We had a booking with Wai for Queenstown but our flights were changed due to weather and we ended up flying to Dunedin. Wai had a car for us at Dunedin airport, and there was no charge for this change. When we arrived in Queenstown we called into the Wai office and made all of our bookings for the rest of our trip around the South Island. The friendly person on the desk was extremely helpful.
We hired a midrange car and it was spotless.
The level of service we received from Wai went above and beyond.
Good luck for the future, we will be recommending you to all our friends back home.

Best Rental Car Company in queenstown.
Greg was very helpful with everything. He even helped us with recommending us what to do and what not to do in our 1 week stay at Queenstown, he also managed to get us some really sweet deals for all the activities we wanted to do. He even called us to check if everything was alright.
We rented a Toyota Previa for our family and the car was exactly as advertised and it was in excellent condition.Returning the vehicle was also no big issue, we had an 8am flight back to Auckland and Greg and team was very accommodating in arranging the vehicle to be pickup from the airport at 6am.
Thanks Again GUYS !
Will definitely use Wai Hire Cars when i return to Queenstown.

Great price with no compromise on amazing service and quality.

Super helpful professional service.

Fantastic friendly service, our flight was late and it was no problem.
Delivery to the airport and very friendlly local advice about things to do. Car was clean and ran very well, good on fuel consumption - we had an 8 seater Estima. Would definitely go back and have recommended friends. Great service thank you.

Wai Hire exceeded all of my expectations.
I have rented from other companies in NZ and have never had a bad experience, but Wai Hire was the best company I've dealt with. The service was exceptional - very professional and personalized. The backpacker car I rented for a month was clean, well maintained, and ran problem free. I will definitely rent from Wai hire again. Thank you Greg and Wai Hire - wonderful job!

Booking was easy.
Cancelling was impossible.
Despite their stated policy of allowing cancellations with a refund and multiple attempts to get in contact with them, they never returned my messages or refunded my money.

We are sorry you did not receive our messages.
Your booking included a discounted rate, you will see on your confirmation email that your booking had a 5% discount applied that was arranged directly with our office at the time of booking. On our website we clearly detail our cancellation clause which states "There are no refunds on discounted hires".
Your booking confirmation email also states the cancellation policy in bold. Which says "If cancelled this booking will incur the full cost of the hire".
We do not refund discounted back packer bookings but we do try to work with the customer to reschedule the booking to another time at no cost. If this would be suitable please contact me directly at manager@waihirecars.nz

Absolutely fantastic experience with Greg and the team at Wai Hire Cars!
Greg met us at the airport we arrived and had everything ready for us by the time we made it to their office.
We had the car for a couple of days and there were zero issues with it. They even helped organize an itinerary for us during our time in Queenstown!
My wife and I travel a lot both for work and pleasure and it is very rare to come across such outstanding service. I would highly recommend Wai Hire to anyone!

Wai Cars Are #1!!!
My wife and I flew into Queenstown on the 10th of March, and were greeted at the airport by the very friendly Greg Wensley. He offers a very professional service, and he had us into our lovely rental car in no time at all. We hired the Ford Escape, as we wanted comfort and reliability while travelling the south island. The car was in immaculate condition, and met all our requirements.
Professional service, excellent cars.

Wai Hire Cars are FANTASTIC!
These guys really know good service. I was picked up from my accommodation which was exactly as I wanted it as I needed to pick up my friends from the airport in the vehicle we had hired.
I was running short of time, Greg arrived immediately and we did the paperwork in the car on the way to the airport!
It was super efficient and super friendly.
The vehicle was immaculate and the price was better value than anywhere else in town.
These guys are the real deal! I would absolutely use Wai Car Hire in the future and would have no hesitation in recommending them - simply awesome.

Great service - I live in Queenstown and used these guys for when my family visited from overseas recently.
I was working and couldn't pick then up at the Airport,but Greg was there to greet them and had them sorted in no time. My parents asked him 1,000 questions about Queenstown, NZ, etc and he was happy to answer them all, despite the fact that he's not actually a tour guide! The prices were great, and when we added a few extra days, it was as simple as a quick phone call. It was really nice to know you're working with a young local couple, who were happy to help with everything, rather than a big international chain that you'd be sitting on an 0800 number for ages talking to someone in Mumbai, just to add a few days to your rental. I highly recommend Wai and will be back with any future visitors we have.
