Enjoy a full day on the water with our experienced guides and small group of kayakers as we explore Deep Cove, Rolla Island and Olphert Cove. We will take you further into the unknown discovering Doubtful Sounds dramatic landscapes.
You will begin with a cruise across Lake Manapouri, then travel by coach over the Wilmot Pass and down the other side to Deep Cove in Doubtful Sound.

We did the "Doubtful Day Out" kayak trip in March 2017.
We were a total of 8 people, the trip started from Manapouri at 7 am. Amazing sunrise on Lake Manapouri during the boat transfer !
3h of kayak, with geological and environmental descriptions from our guide.
During the first hour, we were alone in the Sound, which made the place and the silence really awesome !
The return transfer (bus+boat) was made a bit in a rush...
The price is expensive for a "simple" kayaking trip, but it is the price to pay to enjoy the beauty and the silence of Doubtful Sound !

Saw dolphins, seals, baby eagles and a dead shark. Away for 10 hours.
