    Heaps of fun.

Great guides who respect Maori traditions on the river. I did the trip that goes down the 7m Tukea Falls which was so exciting. Lots of rapids. Wish it lasted longer! This was my first time white water rafting and I loved it.

Just too expensive for one hour fun and there are too many long breaks in which you have to wait for the other boats.

G was our sledging guide and Gordy was our rafting guide.

We were picked up and dropped off as part of our activity which was very convenient. Both our guides were great and my girlfriend and I had a great time. The equipment was in good shape and safety was definitely a priority. I would recommend Kaitiaki for anyone who enjoys rafting or sledging, especially Gordy and G! -Jake

Kia Ora Justin. Thank you for your feed back. We are happy that you fully enjoyed our staff / guides and our unique Kaitiaki Experience, and we are moving our on river times to avoid a mash up with other companies, which should ensure some extra freedom and space for future Kaitiaki river experiences.

Did the Kaituna River Rafting in November 2010 - was a truly awesome experience, particularly the waterfalls we went through - great fun and a bit scary at the same time!

The trip is quite short - less than an hour on the water, and it took ages to get everyone organised to actually go out on the water (but there was a huge group that showed up a bit late). I was also a bit worried about some of the people that went out rafting who could not swim and did not understand any English - but they all made it through as well. The guides were really good fun and nice. Overall a great activity close to Rotorua (about 20km out of town is the office, right next to hell's gate; and then another ~20min drive once you are geared up)
