Information

Rere Rock Slide

Created over thousands of years ago is a crazy 60 meter natural water-slide!

Here you can slide down the giant water slide on a boogie board, tyre tube or air mattress - definitely popular for those who like a bit of risk and adventure! Well worth the trip and a gem in the region for locals and visitors. The rock is fairly smooth, but you may still get a few bumps and bruises - a mark of a fun time!

    Awesome outdoor activity with excitement.

Bring or rent a board and you are good to go. Definitely worth the 50 minutes drive from Gisborne.

We had a beautiful afternoon at the Rockslide and a lot of fun!!

You can slide really fast and if you have a body board it is even more fun!

A beautiful place in the nature.

This is a natural swimming pool with a wall where you can slide down into the water. Very funny and bring your bodyboards.

Was an awesome time and so much fun, but the water did not smell the best.

Lots of fun but smelly gross water.

    Also sometimes overcrowded.

    That was great fun!

You can spend there a whole day if you like - and it is free! You only need a good bodyboard. There is a waterfall where you can walk under the waterfall - even behind! That is magical.

Just rent a bodyboard and have fun at the stream.

Protect yourself with a wetsuit and go when the weather is fine.

Its a lot of fun if you have a small board to slide along the stones.

It is an awesome location though if its really sunny, there are too many people!!

    Fun and exciting.

Bring a raft/dinghy/air mattress/body board. And ride down this stream that runs along a flat rock bed! So so so much fun.
