Location is at the pizzeria north on the map.

$8 pp $4 per car. Location is quiet and pretty, running water and toilets. Pizza was lovely and there’s a bar at the back with good selection of drinks. Friendly family run campsite and restaurant with friendly big friendly curly haired dog.

Decided on the camping as a nice stop.

It was a beautiful little spot nicely maintained. But we are still undecided on the experience.... A tad bit weard..

Sadly didn't get to try te pizza.

Nice little spot nestled in the Bush.

The hydrangeas are plentiful around the camping area and there is an outdoor shower to use. The best feature is the little restaurant serving delicious pizza and beverages. The diablo is tops!

Lovely pitches in the gardens although sandflies were a pain.

We enjoyed a fire pit in the evening after having delicious pizza and wine.

    A great find.

Only one toilet for all campers though.

Outdoor shower, no kitchen space but restaurant on site.

Beautiful field with lots of flowers. Sandflies were abundant.

    What a find!

Warmly welcomed by Petra who showed us to our site in lovely garden surroundings with power. Petra runs the small restaurant and bar at their place and produces renowned pizza's; must say the best we have ever tasted and we have travelled the world. The bar has local folks in who are happy to chat and bend over backwards to be helpful, introduce you to other folks in the area and while away the evening with you. What a treasure of a place and well worth the stop over!

    We LOVED this camp ground!

Beautiful setting and very quiet since it's in the middle of nowhere. It's like a little slice of Germany landed right in NZ. Yes, the hosts take a little while to warm up, but they are really great people (and the pizza is wonderful, too!). Our only disappointment was that spätzle wasn't on the menu!

Regardless of the bad reviews, we decided to stop there.

The campsite is quite nice with an outdoor shower (not tested). The food at the restaurant is pretty good too and home made. And good lager too.

Stayed at this campsite for a night.

Overall we'd strongly recommend taking your trip a little further down the road and avoid this location. The owners - have not understood what Kiwi hospitality is about. We have stayed at multiple campgrounds all over New Zealand and have always been welcomed warmly and were treated with respect. The owners here - unfortunately - are very rude , in no way helpful and awkwardly unfriendly. The brochure states that they would like everybody using the campground to "vine and dine at their restaurant" because they see the camp as an extension of their restaurant - how much more ridiculous can it get?

    Very unfriendly, rude and unhelpful.

I strongly recommend staying away from here. This place has a lot of potential if different operators were here.

Very unfriendly when you ask for a hot shower and how long you can use it (only morning and evening for $5 for short).

Bad restaurant - do not stop there better to go to low cost Charlston Motorcamp.
