Weather wasn't cooperating when we visited South Island -thanks to Little Whetu we've managed to adjust our original plans and enjoyed driving ahead to chase the sun!!!

My husband and I are just back from a "Pod" escape and it honestly was the best experience!

We spent a few days in and around Akaroa and it was so easy and peaceful. Being able to camp right by the sea was amazing and we feel SO rested after such a stressful year. The service was excellent too. We will be back in a Pod for sure :)

What a fantastic experience!

We got a Hiace van that was beautifully kitted out, very clean and tidy (inside and out) and never missed a beat so super reliable. The fuel consumption was way lower than we expected and we are definitely going to miss "our" van!

The bed was surprisingly comfortable, heaps of room in the fridge and several thoughtful additions included (eg clothing pegs and clothing line, toaster for the gas stove, an AUX cord for the stereo etc).

The booking/pick up/payment was quick, easy and good value for money with friendly and helpful staff.

In a nutshell: I would not hesitate to recommend this company and they'll definitely be our first choice for future holidays.

I recently completed a trip down the West Coast of the South Island with Little Hararei (Pod Adventurer).

The trip was fantastic and this camper van made the trip even better! The vehicle is comfortable and easy to drive, the bed is incredibly comfortable and spacious and was great to climb into after a long day and I stayed warm despite being the middle of winter. The solar panel is a great addition and I found it very handy to no not have to worry about finding somewhere to connect to power.

I booked this van at the last minute and the team at the Pod were incredibly helpful and accomodating with such short notice.

I highly recommend this company and their vans.

My son and I drove a Pod called “Little Sefton”from Auckland to Christchurch.

Great trip! ”Lil Sef” didn’t miss a beat and we thoroughly enjoyed the journey. A perfect little camper van for two. Easy to drive and had everything we needed for our father/son bonding trip. Can’t wait to do it all over again.

A brief escape for a couple of days in a cute camper.

What a great handover from the Pod team, everything was well and clearly explained We were made to feel part of a special family. The van was fun and more than what we hoped for. Highly recommended.

Had an awesome two weeks with a POD van.

Pre,during and post-deployment communication with company was seemless, really helpful and friendly. The Pod was like a car to drive and effortless to get on/off The Interislander. It was clean, tidy and modern with eye catching company graphics on the exterior which drew interest and favourable comment wherever we went . Thanks POD people. Highly recommended as a really cool way to see the country.

BEST COMPANY EVER!

I honestly couldn’t recommend Pod Campervans any more! We had the adventurer van and thought it was so well equipped for what we needed. By far the best quality for the price! The team were super friendly and answered all queries very quickly. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Pod again when I return to NZ!

We had a Pod for 29 days, (Little Zoe), touring both the North and South islands.

Really good fun!

The team in all of the sites were super good, friendly and approachable - it gave a family ran vibe.

Van itself was cosy, had all of the essentials included and proved the perfect home for our tour.

Would recommend! ☺️

The best two weeks exploring the beautiful S.Island in our little pod!

You can tell these vans have been designed by people who love to travel... it might be small but it’s efficient, everything is easily accessible and most importantly, it’s cosy! The team at Pod were so helpful, from providing us with our van at short notice, to being easily contactable when on the road. Nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Thank you for being the highlight of our NZ road trip, we will be spreading the word and recommending you to our friends!
