Island Bay Snorkel Trail
Snorkelling within Taputeranga Marine Reserve
The trail has been established at a carefully selected site within Wellington’s Taputeranga Marine Reserve and aims to provide an opportunity for people to experience the marine diversity of the South Coast and the Marine Reserve. There is a great informative sign in the car park about the snorkel trail. It can get rough here, only enter the water if conditions are right.

Enjoy the underwater world and sealife for free.
The trail is marked with orange buoy close to a very small sealife aquarium (brown facility), which is also recommended $4PP.
