If you like Art Deco, this is great: a compact area of three streets gives you so many examples of the architectural features and lettering that characterise this 1930's style - very well maintained too

A paid for leaflet from I-Site showing a walking tour, plenty of information but directions were a bit hard to follow.

Probably better with a quided tour. Napier Antiques on Tennyson Street is well worth a visit - almost a museum of all things art deco. Their prices seemed reasonable too. Also take a (steep) walk or drive to Bluff Hill which has fine view over harbour and good information plaques describing areas of activity in the harbour

    So cool!!

1930's classic cars and bikes!! Lots of fun, we all dressed the part too! Watched swing dancers and different old fashioned acts.

The walk is nothing if you compare it with the nature and the rest of New Zealand.
