There is absolutely nothing wrong with this free spot.
Although, there is no indication that it actually is an official camp site. Picturesque trail head parking on the edge of the bush. Very rustic drop toilet. Extremely quiet except for nature sounds. It is small, but if everybody plays along, you could probably fit at least 4 small camper vans in there. I was alone that night. Would actually count this among my top 10 favorite free spots after 40+ years of van camping on 3 continents.

Probably was a nice place but we arrived at night and it was pretty scary, a few mins drive off the main road and no phone service.
We did not stay

A tiny trail head car park area with a long drop only.
No signage about whether you can camp or not, but it was deserted so we took our chances. Close to road but very quiet country lane so nothing came along all night. Prob only fits 2 small vans. Trail was closed when we were there due to bridge being washed out. It was closest free camping to the end of the Timber Trail so suited us but might not suit others wanting somewhere to hang out for the evening.

Great spot very quite with a clean compost toilet.
Parking for about 4 campervans or 2 big ones.
