Matratzen waren gut.

Danke Steffen.

    Terrible experience.

    Would not recommend.

On the morning of the 3rd day of our 15 day rental, the campervan broke down with a transmission problem. We were towed to Whitianga, where we were stranded for 4 days. After the mechanic declared bankruptcy on a timely repair, the company brought us a 20-year old loaner vehicle. We proceeded with our trip, booking whatever last minute lodging was available. After a week, the company told us that no suitable campervan would be available. During this period, we were clearly told by the company rep that we would be refunded for when the campervan was broken down (consistent with T&C), they would cover some of our lodging, and the use of the loaner would be free. After waiting 2 months for our refund, we were told that we would not be refunded for part of the period we were waiting for the campervan to be repaired, they would not cover any lodging, and they were charging us a rental fee for the loaner. We ultimately had to file a complaint with the NZ Dispute Tribunal to get this resolved. The rental from Euro Campers was the worst experience we have ever had with a company in the tourism / hospitality business anywhere in the world.

We have chosen the Euro Sky - Campervan for a 3-week road trip for two people.

First of all we have to say that we were absolutely satisfied with Euro Campers, the staff, the online and on-site handling.

We picked up the camper in Auckland and returned it in Christchurch, the takeover and later handover went absolutely smoothly. Although we broke two wine glasses on our trip we did not have to pay for them and were taken over by the rental company as a gesture of goodwill. Very obliging. On request we even received a second blanket and bed linen free of charge. The shuttle service was punctual and reliable.

Regarding the camper itself we can say that the vehicle itself was built in 2013, but the interior was from 2019. Everything was very clean and it worked without any problems. Great is the additional equipment like camping chairs, towels, heater etc. The solar panel on the roof allows the fridge and USB ports to work continuously without driving or connection to shore power. Great.

The vehicle had run approx. 95000 kilometres when it was taken over. During the three weeks the car ran without any problems or any quirks.

We can recommend Euro Campers and especially the Euro Sky without reservation and will certainly book again with Euro Campers for the next road trip in New Zealand.

Small enough to be easy to drive and park, but big enough to be comfortable. Customer service was great.

We selected Euro Campers for being the most affordable, but mainly for being a local owned and operated company.

The camper had a lot of experience (432k km!), but was clean, mechanically sound and comfortable. The only problem was the “oil light” that kept coming and going from overfilled.

Karolina was very helpful and convincing during the booking process. We loved the experience!!!

We toured the South Island for two weeks in February 2019.

We rented the toyota hiace from Euro Campers. The employees were polite and helpful and the van was fairly new, clean, and ran well. We were thoroughly happy with our experience with Euro Campers and would rent from them again.

Wonderful experience with Euro Campers, super recommended!!

we booked a Euro Kingsleepers for about one month and found it very confortable and easy to drive. Picked up the van in Auckland and gave it back in Christchurch. Never had any problems with both the vehicle and the guys that helped us booking it from italy.

We forgot one thing into the van when we gave it back, but the guys drove all the way to the airport to gave it back to us.

Very kind and helpful people, definitely suggested.

The best way to visit New Zealand is on a campervan!!

Researching campervan hire in New Zealand proved to be a nightmare until I found Euro Campers.

We needed something simple to see New Zealand over 15 days and did not want ridiculous bonds held on credit cards like all the big name companies (You'll only discover it in the fine print).

Euro campers have no hidden secrets!! Everything is clearly outlined from the beginning and were prompt to answer questions, quotes and organise logistics for arrival and departure.

We hired a 2 berth Eco sleeper starting in Auckland and ending in Christchurch, pick up and drop off was courtesy of Euro campers and were very accomodating with our schedule.

A road trip is not complete without your own music from your phone, a bit of Internet and a reliable GPS. All of this plus more was included in the media pack. (We paid $50 for 3g of Vodaphone internet this lasted us 2 weeks combined with free hotspots etc)

Being in a self contained sleeper meant we could stay pretty much where ever we wanted, we used the Rankers App to locate free and cost effective places to stay and used the reviews to decide if one place was better than others. We did not get cold in the van, even though it was winter.

Definitely don't skip past Euro Campers if you're looking for a reliable and friendly team to help

Make your trip to New Zealand a success!

    This rental company is SHAMBOLIC!

We had a really bad experience which completely ruined our holiday in NZ. it’s such a shame as we loved the country and the people and were keen to use a local company. We spent a lot of money on a camper van that had a leaking fresh water tank, a broken table, and to top it all off, a malfunctioning fridge. These are fundamental components to van life. We emailed the company about the issues we had at the time and since but their response has been limited and unhelpful. It’s been several months of us trying to get a reasonable adjustments to the price we paid, with no luck. We are just asking to make things right and fair with the big issues we had with the van we rented from this company.

AVOID THIS RENTAL AT ALL COSTS!

This was a nightmare company we had to deal with.

In the end they ruined our holiday. :

    1. We initially negotiated as two campers with 4 adult each, newer Heron's. Just one day before we left Aus, they told us that they can not provide the second Heron. Offered us the the old Budgy. With no other choice we had to accept it. When we get Auckland, we found Budgy very old and dirty, the toilet door is not closing properly, BBQ, chairs etc. virtually unusable as they were very old.

    2. In the second day, the other Heron they allocated to us had mechanical issue with the transmission. Which caused us to loose one day in Auckland. We stuck in the middle of busy highway, trying to get some roadside assistance. During this time tried to reach out to Euro Campers, for 24 hours we did not get any proper response. In the end what they suggested was worthless: they could not replace the camper. So we had to continue with the issue. The same issue popped up again later causing more delays. Also, some strange noise from the gearbox. Again, no proper solution, we had to continue with this defected vehicle worrying all the time we may stuck somewhere...

    3. When we've finished and return the campers in Christchurch, we expected some sort of communication and to be honest some compensation as we've lost at least 2 days. To cut long story short, they simply did not respond our numerous emails, phone calls etc. We even did not know if they release our credit card pre-authorizations In the end, I had to call the bank and was told pre-authorization is released (thanks God)!!!

    4. When we negotiate the hire, they promised to have airport transfers. But at the last minute they said, since we arrive on Saturday & return on Sunday, they can not do airport transfer. So, we had to pay our own way to get to their depot and return to airport. Also, they did not show us how to operate the campers. We had to find out our own way... So painful....

    Beware.

These campers are now in the 'older' category. Our first night the house batteries had zero charge as they were so old. We had no lights, water pump, fridge. But worst, the battery alarm went off all night resulting in having to start the engine 5 times during the night to get enough charge in to stop alarm. There solution was to put us in a tiny camper, on day 1. We booked the largest camper for good space. So we had to push to do the right thing and just let us go to a battery shop to replace. Very simple . When returned they kept our $5000 deposit and sent us a list of so called 'broken things' . When we contested this that it was all general wear and tear from it being an old camper they agreed. But still charged us for a broken bed slat and charged us the admin - for a list of things they agreed were due to camper being old. So i contested again only for them to then decide they would only return 3,000 of our deposit , not the sent invoice of $203. This was like getting day light robbed and so unnesscary. We felt so duped that we had to go get advice from citizen advice. They have now refunded but it was awful. To be robbed like this at the end of a nice trip. So please people, if you rent. Take PHOTOS of EVERY single thing in camper. From door handles to window latches because they willl try to rob you, having read other people reviews, Im really gutted that a small NZ camper company would do this to people. Disgusting.

    Campervan/Motorhome renters beware!

Like many New Zealanders we rented a couple of motorhomes for the school holidays. We booked our Motorhomes from Euro Campers, right here in Rolleston. Supporting local, tick!

We flew to Auckland and collected our two dirty, smelly, leaky motorhomes. One didn’t even have hot water for the duration. The bed linen and towels smelt far from clean and the overall cleanliness was not up to our standards, especially in the current climate. The camp chairs provided in one motor home were soaking wet and going mouldy. We even discovered on the last night that both campers rego stickers were long out of date.

Mid way through our 10 day holiday we visited Rainbows End. Parked in the carpark and triple checked everything was locked. When we returned at the end of the day we found both campers had been ransacked and burgled. They’d taken all four children’s iPads and headphones, a camera, clothing, shoes, make up, a speaker, hairdryer, jackets, backpacks and even a kids pencil case. Luckily our home contents insurance will cover most of our personal belongings.

The main issue is that the thieves took a TV and bracket from my friend’s motorhome. As these belong to Euro Campers, we are not insured for these items. Despite purchasing the extra “No Worries” insurance from Euro Campers and the theft being no fault of our own. Euro Campers billed us $855. They charged us $499 for the TV and $150 for the bracket. The remainder was for admin and labour costs!

While at the depot there was a couple there that despite having also taken the extra insurance, were being charged around $2000 for roof damage due to a branch that had fallen on them.

The staff member also advised me that had there been a fire for example, we would have been liable for all of the contents, as their insurance only covers the motorhome!

Both families have decided that we wouldn’t ever hire a camper or motorhome again, it simply isn’t worth the risk.

We are a group of medical doctors.

We travel and have travelled extensively, through developing and developed countries, mostly for work. We have never experienced more concerning service that with this organisation. The organisation provided us with a vehicle that leaked urine from the toilet into the shower (from previous tenants, as we never used the bathroom facilities), which caused a severely unpleasant smell and attracted flies, and that leaked rain water into the cabin (our bed, luggage etc were wet). We were unable to use the vehicle; when we drove urine leaked into the cabin (especially if a gradient in the road) and we did not want to live, sleep or use the vehicle due to the clear and serious health concerns (many serious infective diseases are spread through body fluids such as urine). We raised our concerns immediately and our concerns were acknowledged, but the organisation refused to address it for several days. We had the vehicle for a few days, although we rented the vehicle for more than one month paying nearly £3000. The organisation refused to refund us any money or apologise for the health risks; they said they never refund clients (not even due to the pandemic, which is at contrast to most organisations' and countries' policies) and they said that they did not have a complaints procedure. They did not take our concerns or the health concerns seriously, not even in a pandemic, where they were informed that Corona viruses may be spread via urine. We believe this is negligent behaviour. We contacted governmental officials regarding our concerns.

    NOTE;

When we came in to pick up the camper we asked; what if we cant travel anymore because of covid-19? They said they were going to talk about it. Wel, they just said NO. not even something else

    We are quite disappointed.

We rented for 37 days, but they gave us an old clunker, wear and tear inside and outside, noisy. Because hardly any place in New Zealand is level, The first few nights we could not level the car, until we had bought some ramps on which we could level the car. We got trouble with the electronics of the engine during our travel (car wouldn’t start) and had to call a mechanic/electrician. That can of course happen. But the people and especially the manager of the depot in Christchurch (an older gentleman with a strong German accent) couldn’t care less (“So, what do you want from me?” literally), was quite uninterested and unprofessionally unfriendly. Also the pick-up in Auckland had been unorganized, chaotic and the people there gave an impression of not being interested at all in what they were doing. Camper was not clean either, both inside and out, when we picked it up. We had to ask if they could at least clean the toilet, which stank to high heaven. A lot of utensils were missing or broken. (So check everything extremely well before you take off, in case you would still decide to do a rental with this group of amateurs)

All in all, we are quite disappointed. We wish them all success, but we will never rent with Eurocampers NZ again. Much better options are MAUÏ and BRITZ Camper Rentals, of which we saw quite good examples during our travels.

(By the way, the ramps we had to buy were not reimbursed. “We don’t provide ramps”.) So, deal with it.

We selected EuroCampers because it was the best vehicle/price for our family and the trip we had planned.

The booking and pick up the vehicle, was efficient and smooth.

The vehicle itself was not very clean (broom swept) and well worn (having over 200k km) but this was acceptable.

The issues began when we went to use the stove. Unfortunately the 4 elements/oven would turn on but would not stay on due to a problem with the due to the holidays we could not get the stove repaired or replace. We purchased a camping stove and were told that a complaint would be lodged on our behalf and compensation would be discussed. When we returned the vehicle, the manager was reluctant to speak to us and would not discuss compensation saying she needed to review the facts. We presented the facts but she said this was not a clear case and she needed time to review as she had been on holidays and didn't look into the issue. I was told I would have a response by January 7 but none received.

We selected this vehicle because with young children we wanted to cook all of our meals and freedom camp thus being fully self contained was essential. A camping stove required outside cooking (in wind, cold and rain) and we had to disconnect the gas canister from the vehicle and connect to the camping stove every time we wanted to cook! The result was we often ate out and making a simple tea or coffee was a hassle and time consuming. We did not experience good customer service and did not even get an apology! They clearly did not test the essential items before giving it to us as the stove was clearly broken. Given the amount we paid for this vehicle, it should have been in perfect working order and if not, we should be fairly compensated for their mistake and our inconvenience to us
