Our regions is steeped in history with Norsewood, Dannevirke and Eketahuna originally settled by Scandinavians. We have amazing Museums in each of our towns that tell the local history.
The Tararua is well known for great fishing, whether its in our 6 rivers or at one of our two wonderful beaches.
