I was expecting something more from an information centre in a busy area like this, it was really big but nearly empty inside, but the staff were lovely as usual in this place.

No professional behaviour, felt like I interrupted them.
I have been there twice and it was the same. Understand they are busy, but it is no reason to be awkward.

It seemed that many of the 'attractions' were not well thought through.
It was tricky to use the mountain spotting activity and the kids corner just had cushions in it. As a result all the kids grabbed some books to look at (the ones for sale) only to be told off by the staff. I believe there is a Kiwi ranger program in this area. The cushions could be used for kids to look at the Kiwi ranger leaflets.
