A rare find: private campground along asphalt road, very sunny.

Owner is a very kind family who also provides WiFi (free) and some snacks (against a small price). Very tolerant, but amenities are clean, lawn well maintained. Nice atmosphere with all guests; mostly young crowd. Cleanliness is alright, amenities a bit dated but all functional. Even has (only) one shower - against a small price. Price is more than fair (10$ p.P.) - this is not a holiday park after all. Perfect for tourists in their early twenties who want a good campsite, nice atmosphere, WiFi, but have not high demands and must save their money. And the (hill) view (with grazing cattle) is serene, too!

    Stayed for 2 nights at $10 pp/n.

We had come to explore the Caitlins and this was close enough for that. Nice quiet site set in the rolling hills. Owner was very welcoming and had lots of info for things to see nearby, and was quite helpful.

Shower was good and hot and $2 per 5m. We took the option of cooked breakfast and cooked pizzas one day, home made by the owner and we enjoyed these 2 meals.

Toilet, shower, kitchen area, general grounds were presented in a clean manner. Would def recommend.

$10 per night for unpowered site, you get water, wifi which was brilliant!, rubbish , you pay $2 for 5 min shower which again I think is more than fair!! Farm animals around which was awesome to, close to nugget point and Kaka point, I'll be back again!!! THE JAFFA !..

After reading online that dogs were allowed, and driving there, manager then said he didn’t want dogs on site.

After much whinging and venting, he then said we could stay but to keep dogs out of sight.? Did a quick scan and decided it wasn’t for us. Not much on offer for $15 pp. basically a fenced paddock in the middle of farmland.

Great stop off point to the Catlins.

At $10 per person the campground, well you get what you pay for. Functional.

The $2 shower seemed to last forever. Good wifi. Kitchen did not have stoves which was a shame as ran out of gas and he can no longer provide pizzas or breakfast.

I recommend you go to the bake house in Owaka

Awesome burgers. Better than Ferg burgers.

    Check out Cannibal Bay to.

Brilliant little campsite, stayed here just one night but loved it.

The facilities were well worth the $10, it was great value for money. The owner Kevin was really friendly and chatty, gave us some good advice about the area and a huge and very delicious breakfast!! Really nice guy with a great little business. Thanks very much and all the best with your projects! Becky, Melissa and Rosanna.

A little place in the middle of nowhere.

A few slots are even. Most are not.

But the price isn’t 10/pp anymore. They raised it 50% to 15/pp.

    Showers are still 2.

Kitchen is a container. So not enough space if the camp is crowded. Be aware in the main season.

For 10/pp I would say it’s a fair price but since the raise it’s not really worth it anymore.

    - you have to leave no later than 10am!!

    - $15 per night/person + $2 for a 5 min shower even a cold one (too much for what this site offers)

    - too small kitchen wich is really bad equipped (no kettel and just cold water from the tab, no pots, ...)

    - just two chairs inside the kitchen

    - not enough covered area for rainy days

    - all the facilities close at 10am

    - the wifi is turned off at 10am and there is no mobile reception otherwise

    - just one shower and two toilets for the whole Campsie

    + the view is nice

I recommend to go to a different campsite in the area to spare yourselfe from unnecessary troubles + there are even cheaper and better ones close by

We paid $30 for the only power site which would have been ok except all the facilities (kitchen and ablutions) needed a good clean.

There was only cold water in the kitchen and no means to heat water. If staying you need to bring everything for cooking etc. Host was not particularly helpful and I wonder if tough times since COVID have had an effect. The setting was nice and the $2 coin operated showers hot with good water pressure.

If I had realised I would have used the freedom camp at Owaka and paid $5 for a shower next door.

Nice little place to stop off.

The owner was lovely and welcoming. Rankers said pets allowed however the owner said no dogs. Luckily we could let our dogs sleep in the van. Amenities were simple. We booked a room and it provided shelter for the night - very noisy with people next door though (could hear every word and movement)

Awesome campsite, the owner is super friendly and makes you feel at home.

Shower is clean hot and powerful for only $2 for 5 minutes. Campsite itself is peaceful in the green hills with a couple of gravel parking sites for larger campers. Wifi was fast and didn't drop out at all, even better it is completely free.

Very nice farm area in the middle of nowhere.

Peace and quiet! Nice, friendly owner when checked in. Seemed to be inexpensive at first for the two of us, $10 pp plus $10 for powered site. Once you include the pay showers (now $2/5 minutes), this quickly became the same price as many of the Holiday parks. Decently clean showers and toilet. As stated, kitchen has a microwave. Close to Nugget Point Lighthouse for those stunning sunrise photos.
