Someone on Rankers review said there is no black water dump, when in fact it is for grey and black.
Very misleading.
Please pay your $5 night, especially if you used power.

Quiet spot with good cell reception.
Bathrooms were nice and clean (cold water only). Lots of spots but not many for larger RVs. Was not full so could park it over two spots later in the night.

Make sure you follow the directions on the rankers info and don’t just put in the name.
Has toilets which is always great, rather busy but personally that’s a bit of a comfort.

Pulled in about 5pm on a Saturday to try to get settled before dark, but the lot was entirely full due to a rugby game going on.
I would recommend pulling in after 7pm on weekends. There was lots of noise through the night such as drag racing and music blasting. Quiet morning though. Probably much chiller on weekdays. As far as a parking lot with access to water and toilets, it’s pretty solid. I did feel safe as a woman traveling alone. Lots of other travelers around even in shoulder season but no shortage of space.

Power available, dump station and water all for $5!
Facilities were clean and even provided dishwashing soap, but that might have been left by camper, because it wasn't there when we were there the second time. On the edge of the rugby field.

Awesome Spot!
Nice clean toilets, sink with soap for dishwashing and plenty of space for vehicles. Quite busy with campers but silent. You can leave a 5$ donation for maintainance of the Spot. Totally recommend that one!

Pros: within a hour of AKL, only $5 donation.
Cons: The dump station has GREY WATER ONLY (no black water dump). So many mosquitoes which cleverly were able to sneak into tiny gaps in our door/window seals. there was a big community function that went til about 10 pm and people stayed around talking outside our van until 11 something. Saw multiple dead cockroaches in the bathroom.

Stayed here on a week night.
Nice quiet rugby club parking lot with clean flushing toilets situated up a hill and out of sight, plenty of park spaces, a couple of power points to plug into (first in first serve) and greenery on either side, can see a lake in the distance on one side.

Clean flushable toilets open all night with light.
Outside sink with potable water.
Dump station with water.
Plenty of space for motor homes.
2 power boxes with 4 outlets each but need to park close or long extension lead, so arrive there early for best postion
Contribution of $5 per night so don't abuse.
Leave site clean and tidy.

First place I stayed after collecting my campervan in Auckland.
Nice, big parking lot with plenty of room, right next to a rugby field, where the local club had practice that evening (very exciting for a newly arrived tourist like me :-) ). There was a nice, little walk around the surrounding township, with a fair sized supermarket close by and the toilets were nice and clean. The parking lot was lit up by big lamp posts all night, which might be annoying to some. But for me travelling alone it made it seem very safe. Great free spot, would def. Recommend it for a night.

Perfect location to spend the night.
Plenty of space on the parkinglot for campers. Toilets were clean, and it is possible to dispose grey water and fill up on drinking water. We arrived on a Friday and there were plenty of space left throughout the night. Noise level is at a minimum. Only noise were from late arrivals.

Quick little one night stop, perfect to park and sleep the night.
There is power you can plug into, but where you have to park we found the angle difficult to sleep, heaps of other people there parked on flatter ground. Toilets lit up and felt safe. Water & dumping facilities. Donate $5.
