Back in 2013 we visited NZ by car, and immediately know we had to come back and ride a Harley.

After some searching on the net I ran across Bularangi's homepage; all the information given their gave us a pretty good feeling that they may be the RIGHT people to deal with.

After intial contact was established Ali was more than very helpful to plan our 4 weeks trip. She even sent a motorcycle atlas to Germany, and gave us additional recommendations based on their experience.

When we arrived a perfectly maintained ULTRA CLASSIC was waiting for us in Auckland. Minor problems, i.e. missing tie-downs for the ferry crossings, were solved immediately. Ali showed her concern when cyclone Pam hit NZ and she contacted us to make sure we understand the situation and how to avoid any risk. We stayed at the Bularangi Lodge in Waihi and Ali spent time with us for an exceptional diner.

We put about 6200 km on the bike, with no problem at all - me dropping it is not the bikes problem :-(

I cannot see anybody beating Bularangi when it comes to touring or hiring a Harley Davidson in NZ.

Thanks again Ali; we had the time of our lifetime.

    On Holiday from the UK.

Had a fabulous days ride out from Auckland to and around the coromandel peninsula, very good prices, hired a roadking which was very nicely turned out and rode wonderfully, jackets and helmets supplied, we had a guide for the day who showed us the best route and to give us some local insight. A real nice guy and good rider/guide. I Would recommend this company and this route (but not a great route if your not an experienced rider as the road is very twisty up and downhill ) We loved it😎

The guys at Bularangi could not have been more helpful to a pair of virtual novices from England.

The bike was in prefect order & we were given all the kit we needed to handle copious amounts of baggage. Importantly, prior to our arrival & over several weeks, Baz or Ali were extremely prompt & helpful with endless email queries & we appreciated their patience. We can't credit Bularangi with creating some of the finest scenery in the world on the South Island but certainly seeing it on one of their bikes made it extra special

We (me and my wife) love to ride a trike on scenic roads.

We have done part of the Route 66 USA (one week journey) and gone from Germany to Nordkapp (Norway) in a 84 days trike journey.

We also have done many tours with our trike over here in Brazil.

But we never ever have so nice and enjoyable journey as in New Zealand.

Ali and Baz are the ones responsible for that.

Fantastic support. Very personal attention in choosing the most scenic roads and very comfortable accommodation.

Congratulations for this special way of treating your customers.

We´re a long time Harley riders (me and my wife) in Brazil (where we ride our bike) and worldwide (Europe, US, South America, always on rented bikes), so I am very comfortable to state that we´ve never

had the highest level of services (we could say “personal care”) we´ve got from Baz (the Master of the Bikes) and (Ali, the Angel Guardian of our journey). They provide good bikes, maps, accommodation, tips and a valuable support to fulfill my wife´s dream to be at the Hobbit premiere in Wellington and to have a dinner at Hobbiton´s Green Dragon Pub 

We did a 20 days independent tour in both islands, riding 3000km in 2 bikes and 15 overnight places. Even though it was a complete unknown country (continent, hemisphere) for us (not to mention the left lane drive “look right and drive left” – Baz´ golden tip), we felt always very confident and protected by our Boularangi friends, like when we face a sturdy thunderstorm in Coromandel Peninsula and Ali shows all her concern, care and professionalism, advising us to stay one day more where we are, to avoid us to drive amidst the storm.

We will surely be back to NZ (we´ve miss the Coromandel Loop on a good wheather, it rained all the time ) and surely will hire Boularangi again.

Thanks and cheers to all you kiwi awesome guys

    These guys were absolutely great.

They dropped off the new and well cared for bike at the hotel on the evening before my trip, programmed my gps already with the nicest routes and off I was. Coming from Switzerland I had to concentrate on the left hand traffic, but with Baz's tips I got the hang of it quick. Ali at the office organized a Hobitton tour and tickets ready to go once I made to the Shire. Great experince as well. I had a great time and when I brought the bike back it was smooth and hasselfree.

My wife and I settled early on in 2013, that this Christmas was to be on the road in New Zealand.

As we both love to ride a motorcycle, it was clear that this trip was to be on two wheels. None of us had been to New Zealand before, thus internet was the source of information.

After doing some research on rentals in New Zealand, we decided to go with Bulangari Harley Tours of New Zealand (BH). We chose this company in the first place because of their extensive tour suggestion offering and that you could pick up and drop of the bikes at multiple locations over New Zealand.

Us being from Norway, on the exact opposite side of the globe and used to drive on the right side (pun intended), we had of course numerous questions. No matter how trivial we got answers, good answers.

When we arrived, the bike and gear was ready as agreed.

The bike had made a good 50000 km’s and you could tell from natural wear and tear. Technical fitness was however excellent. No lose screws, no missing plugs, no rattling windshield and no leaking oil. Tires and breaks in good shape. The bike was in excellent condition for the 3000+ kms we were to add to it.

We borrowed jackets and raingear but brought our own helmets and communication gear. Jackets were fine, while both raingears had rips. Which we did not find until we used it. Still, BH accepted that the damage had been there in the first place.

We experienced BH as having a genuine interest in providing us with the best assets and information possible to make our vacation a success. Which it was.

I have no problem to recommend BH for others. No issues with payments, agreements held and hardware functioned flawlessly. Great service, attitude, with a personal touch.

We did not take advantage of the tour suggestions, as we believe the road is the target. A vague idea of the daily target and do as we like. Still, we did have a lot of recommendations with us, and considered those every now and then. Valuable information.

From the moment we contacted Ali and Baz to see if they could help us fulfill our dream of touring the North Island of New Zealand on a Harley everything was taken care of.

The finest details were covered with professionalism, friendliness and hospitality which was outstanding. When we collected the original bike we reserved it proved a bit of a handful, so a quick telephone call later and we were then riding the Heritage Softail which is the same bike we own in Zurich. This model was better suited to us as we are so familiar with it, it made the adventure so much better.

The trip details provided by Ali and Baz were outstanding and we literally had the time of our lives, covering most of the trips they had suggested and recommended. The other tips concerning places to eat and stop at were fabulous, and without the guidance and assistance of this great team we would not have seen as much as we did. New Zealand is paradise and to have a service like this available is such a great initiative.

We wish Ali and Baz continued success and have no problem whatsoever in recommending their business to anyone.

    With fondest regards,

The Warwick House was beautiful and the room was elegant. The rides were absolutely fantastic. You run a world class operation.

I planned the trip to New Zealand with my 19 yr old niece and really wanted to take in some riding as part of the trip.

I am an experienced rider, she however has never ridden before so I was a little concerned how she might take it all in. She said she was game so I went ahead with the plan.

It was a piece of cake from the moment I made the decision to go with Bularangi. I emailed the inquiry explaining the situation and very quickly received a cheerful, informative response with detailed information on how the day would play out.

Ali was incredibly flexible with the plan in case the weather did not cooperate. I certainly did not want my niece's first bike tour experience to be in an all day washout because I was locked in to the reservation.

Ali's instant understanding of my desire to build a love of the sport for my niece was wonderfully refreshing.

True to her emails, she called our hotel the night before to do a 'weather check' and see that we were arrived in town, happy, healthy and ready for our tour.

At 8:30am ON THE NOSE, Dave and Glen pulled up at the front door of our hotel. We geared up and set off on one of the most fun days I have had in my life. Their love of riding and professionalism as hosts shined thru in how smooth the day played out. Even though both of them had personal plans later that evening, they took the extra time to come back into town a lovely scenic route that we did not have time for in the morning. Expanding the reason why I love to ride and giving us the opportunity to fall even more in love with the breathtakingly beautiful New Zealand.

At the end of the day my niece could not stop talking about how fantastic the ride was and asked if she could come with my husband and myself when we take our 3 or 4 day bike trips in the States. Complete Success!

Thank You! Ali and Dave and Glen for a wonderful day! and a future of watching the next generation grow into two-wheeled explorers.

Ali and Baz helped us plan our independant tour from start to finish.

Ali was available on the phone whenever we had a query from here in the UK. Once they knew what we wanted they gave excellent advice on routes and accomodation. We had a specacular 12 day tour covering the top of North Island. 300 k's a day was about right and gave us time to enjoy the scenery and swim etc. Our bike (Ultra classic) was comfortable and reliable, much larger than what we are used to but ideal for the tour. Plenty of storage space. Sat nav was essential and all set up for us. We were even given a $100 dollar voicher to make up for the sat nav arriving 1 day late.. Highlights of our tour were the Bay of Islands (receomend arriving by ferry one way but leaving by road as the route is great on a bike. Also the coromandel if you enjoy bends. All in all a fabulous experience. Already saving for our return to do South Island!

From the second I contacted Bularangi Tours the service from Ali and Baz was exceptional.

From advice on type of tour, hire of bikes, route planning, accommodation recommendations nothing was too much to ask. When you book a holiday, especially when you are thousands of miles away and there is a 13 hour time difference, you have lots of questions. Ali's response times and helpful nature even for all the silly questions was outstanding. On collection of the bikes everything was as planned and requested and on route if we continued to have questions they were still answered in the same way. We even took advantage of hiring their accommodation in Waihi, which was like home from home, giving us the opportunity to meet Ali, and the welcome was just as warm. The bikes were in excellent condition and we could not fault the whole experience.NZ also has some of the best roads I have ever ridden. I would definitely ( and will be ) using Bularangi again

My experience with Bularangi started months before my actual trip, emailing from Canada back and forth with Ali in New Zealand about the rental of a Sportster for a self-guided tour of New Zealand.

Ali was very quick to reply to emails, very complete in her answers from the slightest to the most difficult questions, very thorough to make sure I had everything in place I needed to have, very helpful with tourist information that I wouldn't expect would even fall under her scope of duties as a bike rental company, and all of this while being VERY friendly, inviting, and accommodating. When I arrived and picked up my bike, her co-workers were an extension of her courtesy, kindness, and professionalism, further rendering my experience with Bularangi an incredibly positive one. My trip on a Harley across New Zealand was life-changing, in no small part to Ali and Bularangi Harley Tours. I cannot more highly reccommend this group of people to ensure your adventure is a positive one. THANK YOU!

My wife and I hired Harleys for a day, to tour the Coromandel.

Ali was a star leading up to the trip and very accommodating, as we had a tight travel schedule. On the day, bikes were ready when we arrived, decent helmets, gloves and jackets were available. The bikes ran faultlessly and we had great weather. The Coromandel loop is some 260km of winding, ascending and descending, good quality road, with spectacular scenery. An added bonus was that the annual Beach Hop was on and and on our way down from Whitianga in the afternoon, we passed a huge number of pristine cars from the 50s and 60s travelling towards us. After returning the bikes, Baz and Ali invited us to share a drink with them on the back patio, a great end to a fantastic and memorable day. Thanks guys, we won't hesitate to recommend you !

    Hi Ali,

It was an amazing experience all together. The bike, the route, the hotels, and mostly your company have all been great. We had an unforgettable experience and will hopefully be back soon to tour the Southern island.

We really appreciate your efforts in organizing the whole trip, to the last detail (including the stops we made). We especially enjoyed the ride around Taupo Lake and up the volcano roads. The lodges you chose for us were also excellent. We highly recommend the Poet's Corner in Waihi and the Taupu Lake Lodge.

    Thanks for everything.

I felt completely safe and enjoyed every minute and km of our ride around the Coromandel.

Baz was awesome. My daughter and I would recommend this experience to all!

This was the most awesome experience of my life.

For the last 20 years I've said I'd ride a Harley on my 60th, & now being quite disabled my family said "No way!". However, Ali organized this for me with Donks from the Auckland Club & what a wonderful experience it was. I truly could not have been in better hands. Now I can't wait for my 100th to do it all again.

I was very pleased with the response time from Ali when enquiring about the tour.

She responded in a timely manner considering the time change we were dealing with.

Baz was my tour guide for the day, and he did a very fine job at that. He is very knowledgable about the area including the history and culture. The Coromandel Peninsula Tour was fabulous. The sights we saw were beautiful!! The route we road was very enjoyable.

This tour was definitely the highlight of my trip to New Zealand. I am looking forward to my next New Zealand adventure!!

This has to be my best motorcycle trip to date.

Everyday was excellent and so it is hard to define a particluar highlight. The booking, collection and returning the bike was so easy to do. The roads were excellent for motorbikes and I found every day was a different experience. I definetly want to return to do it all again

We have been lucky enough to have travelled many places over the years and we have to rank our trip to NZ as one of the best.

Our experience with Bularangi was a big part of that. We rented a Harley Road King for 17 days and toured both the North and South islands. There can't be a better way to see such a beautiful country and meet so many nice people. But even before we started our trip Baz and Ali had already proven themselves. We were happy to be able to ride a Road King because that is what we ride at home in the US. They took care of everything - the itinerary, the hotel bookings, the ferry tickets, domestic flight tickets, and then delivered our luggage to Christchurch so we could pack our gear before heading home. Unbelievable service. Part way through the trip Ali called to see how we were doing and when she found out we liked to tour gardens, she sent an email so we were sure to see the best. I have to say that the garden she sent us to was one of the best I have ever seen.

Another unexpected pleasure we had was meeting some people from Germany that were also renting Harleys from Bularangi. Our itineraries came together for about three days, so we had dinner and drinks several times with them and made some new friends. What an added bonus.

    Absolutely 10 all the way.

    Thank you Baz and Ali
