Underleaf Eco Treks

View amazing limestone outcrops, caves, moa bones, ancient fossils, native birds and animals. Plant a native tree in the reserve and feed the eels.

Underleaf Eco Treks is based just out of Waitomo Caves, New Zealand.
We provide a range of guided walks through the Native Forest reserve on our working sheep and cattle farm.
Llamas are used as companions and to transport any gear that is needed.
You will explore part of our 8oo acres of pristine Queen Elizabeth Trust Reserve, visit beautiful caves and walk through our unique farmland.
You can expect to view amazing limestone outcrops, caves, moa bones, ancient fossils, native birds and animals.
We will plant a native tree in the reserve and feed the eels.
Treks will take between 3 and 5 hours depending on chosen option.
Drinks and morning or afternoon tea will be provided, as well as lunch on the 5 hour trek.
Wear sturdy walking shoes.
Bookings are essential.
Mininmum of 2 people is required for treks to run.
