No photos are allowed inside this Aladdin's Cave of movie props.
You get to hold props from loads of movies and get to learn loads about how they are made and how they are used on set.

As a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings, I had to go there.....
A bit disappointed, as all they do is try to take all your money, very expensive, but still worthy to pay for the guided tour.

45 minute tour of the Weta Workshop where Lord of the Rings and many other film props and costumes are designed and made.
Interesting but only okay value for $25.

Was really cool seeing how the props for films were made.
The tour guide was full of information and showed a mix of films, not just Lord of the Rings which was refreshing.

Great, loved seeing all of my favourite props and replicas and the free video is a must.
Don't expect to see lots of prop making in action on the weekends if you do the tour.

This is the company who did the weapons, clothes, props to Lord of the Rings.
They have also done props for many other movies as well. Really interesting tour with a lot of information about how to make props and such.

We were on the standard tour and we really enjoyed it.
But we are fans of the Lord of the Rings and many more movies that Weta Workshop helped to do, so I cannot be negative.

One of our favourite spots in Wellington - if you enjoy movies or are a Tolkein fan it is a must.
Follow it with a coffee and cake at the Roxy Cinema and lunch at the Chocolate Fish Cafe.

Heaps of 'toys' all around and the guide was funny. Be aware that if your english is not that good it is not worth it.
