1 1/2 hour boat trip along the Bay of Islands in a very fast speedboat - takes you to a few places of interest and the famous 'Hole in the Rock' - the only downside is the trip could have been longer.

Speed boat trip to the "Hole in the Rock" @ Russell.
Wasn't as fast as expected or advertised. Still an interesting trip just not as thrilling as anticipated.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS EXCURSION!
Visited the Bay of Islands over the New Year's holiday with my family. The Mack Attack was our last activity and turned into a nightmare. The boat was full so the operator put my little sisters in makeshift seats -with NO seat belts. The
seat that my mother was sitting in broke midway through the ride caused her to violently fall to the ground. There were bolts missing from seats and safety seemed to be an afterthought. The staff was apathetic and rude. Stay away from this boat if you value your safety.
