Cost $25 per person for non powered, so that was a shock.
More expensive than the top 10 down the road. Facilities are super clean. Shower is great. The water taps are NOT drinkable water, even though there is no sign. The owner watched me fill up my water tank and said nothing until later, so I had to drain and rinse my tank. He said there was a sign on a garden hose 20 metres away and it was all the same supply so I should've known. I have been here several times for the value, but it is no longer cheap. Sorry.

Great location very close to town center (4-5 min walk).
Clean and well equipped kitchen, free showers, WiFi. Owner was very helpful in advising what to do in town. Prices OK, actually you get more for the price (NZD 20/pp for powered site) than in other similar facilities. Recommend to anybody visiting Coromandel. Had a great time here.

Having been disappointed by the freedom camping options near the town, we turned up relatively late and were greeted warmly.
Facilities were limited (smallish kitchen and only 2 showers) but perfectly serviceable. We came in winter, but I imagine these would be very busy in summer.
Right in the town centre, where we found some nice cafes, free WiFi a bonus.

Good little site with all the amenities.
Fully stocked kitchen and both indoor and outdoor seating areas. Easy to walk into the small town if you so desire. Only complaint is the button pushing shower system which I detest. Also I suspect it could get crowded in the camping area but it was fine when I was there in October.

Best campground we stayed at during our New Zealand trip!
The current owners have just taken over the place and renovated it. All the facilities were perfectly clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and there was a lounge area which even had a TV. Both owners were very friendly and look well after the place. If your New Zealand trip takes you to Coromandel, I would definitely recommend to stay at this place!

Quiet campground with friendly owners.
Shower facilities clean but weirdly designed, 2 showers with their own curtain and behind one door. Kitchen well equipped and clean, nice terrace next to it.

Nice camping.
An unpowered site cost $18 per person, we parked on superb grass and had a lot of space (you can choose your own spot). The kitchen and bathrooms are clean. The only downside with the showers is that they have a strange layout, the door that locks is shared by 2 showers, each having a curtain. So basically all your stuff is in the shared area, so not a lot of privacy if 2 people are showering at the same time. The kitchen is equipped with microwave, kettle, pots, cups and plates etc. There's a covered area with tables and benches right next to it. There's also a lounge. All in all, a good stay. The property looks like it's well looked after.
