We came to know about the Rock Cruise by a film we saw in German TV some months ago.
Found it interesting but did not pursue the project. When we passed by the pier at Paihia we saw the boat in the bay and just took one of the leaflets, without intention. But lateron we checked if we can book for next day, and we did it.
It was way better than we expected. OK, the weather was really lousy with lots of rain. But the cruise was good fun. One can argue about the price, but so what. The value was that the crew was great, they were authentic, we felt they had fun and liked the cruise as well. That is what we got for our money, plus trying to shoot at ducks, snorkling, night kayaking, trying to catch fishes, try sea urchin, mussels, great rock oysters and see some dolphins.
If you board the vessel expecting a 5 star cruise, then please do not book it. This trip is only for guys who want to have down to earth fun and enjoy some time with like minded guys.
Thanks to the guys on board, it is a great ship and lots of fun. We would definitely book again (but it is so far away from Europe) and would love to stay 2 nights. It was certainly the highlight of our trip, except for the weather.
