A group of six friends went out on the Dive Tutukaka boat "Perfect Day" on the 14th March.
A group of six friends went out on the Dive Tutukaka boat "Perfect Day" on the 14th March. This coincided with the Release of two Turtles back into the wild. This was an amazing experience! The whole day was fantastic!! Have seen sights world wide, and this trip to the Poor Knights was right up there with the best! Tourists its a must see and day out! Our Skipper was so good and was able to give great information on the way there and back. Crew so helpful all day.
Thanks Dive Tutukaka.

This was one of my favourite locations - our guide Will was extremely helpful and passionate about his job - the whole crew were so nice as the boatride out was a bit bumpy - the diving was so clear and
well organised - clear water/heaps of rays, plant life and fish!!!

Fantastic dive and crew.
Large boat with the correct number of crew which meant there was 1 dive master between 4 of us. Poor Knights Islands is a great place to dive. Would dive here and with this company again

My first time snorkelling and it was absolutely amazing.
The view from the boat was stunning, likewise, under the sea, beautiful fish, plants and animals. The staff were also nice.

Cold! Prefer coral reefs and bigger fish but it was a totally different dive that I have done before and it was amazing!

Overpriced!
For so much money - no food on the boat (only soup and coffee on a full day trip), no insurances on snorkel and mask (customer has to pay for when lost), unfriendly staff.

A perfect day!
We started early in the morning, had our first scuba diving experience which was great, and later on had time to explore the sea life by kayaking and snorkelling. We were able to swim with a seal!

Less people on board as it is a smaller boat.
Poor Knights Islands is a great spot to dive or snorkel but the lunch could be better!

Fantastic day out with very experienced and friendly staff.
I had a phone conversation and met with 2 office staff before we went, and all were very friendly and informative, even to advising us to wait a day for better weather (which meant they could have lost our business), and letting us know about the best walks and places to free-camp in the area. They booked us in without even taking any deposit, so we just had to confirm on the day - and pay then! Wonderful service! We were only snorkelling, but they still gave us as much attention as the divers, the Poor Knights is a wonderful snorkelling (as well as diving) destination.

The most organised dive centre I have ever encountered.
Three boats full of people, organised with military precision. Good quality hire kit and knowledgable and helpful staff. 260 dollars each for a full day with 2 dives. It's expensive but holiday diving always is especially when you are hiring full kit. The ten dollar lunch was fine, a nice sandwich, two pieces of fruit and a chocolate bar. Free tea coffee hot chocolate and soup. The only downside which surprised me for such a top quality dive centre was no showers, you come back from two wetsuit dives and you need somewhere to shower and wash your hair. I have never encountered this previously. They said there was a hot shower on the boat but there wasn't.

10 points for the dive center.
Perfect organisation, friendly, efficient and professional. Always with a smile.
6 points for the dives. For me it was less for the money. ( 260$ for 2 dives incl. Equipment) I read a lot about the diving places and I expected more from the places. The landscape is very nice.
