Great freedom spot next to the bmx track.

Sign where to park. Rubbish bin onsite. 25 min walk to town or ten minutes to the dairy. Estuary 1 hour walking track along river onsite, as well as swings and playing field. Dogs are allowed on a lead. Busy spot during the day with sports or dog walkers.

Blessed you can stay here for 4 nights.

    Beautiful mountain views.

There is no sign indicating you can camp here overnight so I checked the website of the region.

    Normally it's ok.

Just a carpark next to some sport fields, but very spacious.

Toilets close overnight. Ideal to stay if you are planning to do a hike in the kaimais the next day.

Even though the DOCs camp was Free with Camp Pass, we opted to pay the fee at this camp site.

The DOCs camp was 'car park' type camping for campervans. Boyds Park had heaps of room for privacy and flush toilets. The sunrise is spectacular. The lovely lady collecting money in the morning was an added bonus with her wealth of knowledge on the area.

Lovely big open sports fields to use.

There are toilet blocks on Stanley Street at the "A.R. Johns Memorial Grandstand" they're open 7:30am- 6:30pm.

Seemed unpleasantly remote, just a few hang arounds in the other end of the carpark - we left again.

    Free and wonderful.

Nice people around. A lifeguard gives us free hot showers in the morning.
