The sailing tour through the Bay of Islands was amazing because we were only six people on the boat.
So it was quite nice and we also could so some kayaking and we swam to a small island. The crew was really friendly and we liked to help them out a bit with the sailing.

If you have already experienced sailing a yacht, you will love this day trip.
If not, do it anyway to become mesmerized by the soundless way of travelling the seas. You will have plenty of possibilities to get involved into steering the boat or setting the sail. The friendly crew happily answers all your questions and conveys the idea of sailing as a lifestyle.

I had so much fun sailing with Mike and Debbie that I had to return a second time a week later!
I have never sailed before but have been on the water many years in powerboats. I learned so much, so fast the first day that I felt like a seasoned sailor on the second day. Everyone had a hand at trimming the sails and steering the boat. The atmosphere, camaraderie on board the Gungha 11 was out of this world. Mike and Debbie's interaction with their clients, was exceptional. No matter the nationality, they spoke a few words in their native tongue. The 30 days I spent in New Zealand, I can honestly say, the two days I spent with them were the best.
In the words of Gen. MacArthur, I shall return.
