Beautiful scenery and huts. Christopher's Hut was my favourite. Our first track in New Zealand.

Landscape is changing every 30 minutes and lovely historical hut was great.

A very long way but halfway you get to sit on your own, private hot spring pool in the absolute middle of nowhere.
Extremely recommend! Beautiful!

It was less crowded than some other DOC walks but definitely worth it to visit. Good views and a well maintained track!

Really nice walk, easy to do, but nothing special - huts are nice and clean but crowded.
Cannot be booked in advance.

I did this walk when I was 5 years old with my family over 5 days and again when I finished school!
It still remains, in my mind, as the best walk in NZ!
