The government gardens is very well situated to the town centre and very stunning.

The park itself was a car park near the Polynesian spa and filled up very quick on the Saturday. Toilets are very nice but were rather far away and lock after 9pm, but the spa is open until 11 and will let you use the toilets. The place itself smells very pungently of egg but that’s because of the thermal aspect. We were allowed to stay two nights which was good.

It is soooo amazing, all the thermal activity but the smell sometimes is a bit strong.

Try see past it to the beauty of the area, and how amazing our world is.

The city is nice, but smells horrible.

Most beautiful flowers in the garden. I was surprised with the steam coming out of the ground.

Fun area with a lot of black swans near the lake.

    Worth a look around.

A nicely spread thermal garden, with several sulphurous thermal pools which were very smelly - very good for a free attraction.

A nice way to spend a few hours.

Free entry. Park well maintained and you can view thermal activity without having to go to one of the commerical enterprises.

10/10 for value for money as it doesn't cost a thing!

Not quite as impressive as the commercial thermal attractions but all the same there are bubling mud pools that are worth seeing.

You walk in a park and see volcanic wonders everywhere. Layout and design of the park is amazing.
