The start of the track is signposted opposite the DoC office at Akapoua, 1km south of Port Fitzroy.

Track

The track is wide and even for 20 minutes, crossing the shallow stream twice before following it 20 metres along its rocky side to a waterfall.

The 25 minutes to the junction with the Bridle track (5 minutes from the DoC office) is wide, metalled an even.

Nice, easy grade loop track in FitzRoy area.

Lots of kauri and deep pools to cool off.
