Tongariro Alpine Crossing, Mt Ruapehu, Taupo and the Central Plateau Region Transport Services
In just five years based in Taupo, Adventure HQ Taupo’s shuttle service has evolved into a tourist venture with transport to the iconic Tongariro Alpine Crossing, door-to-door services, private shuttles and transfers around the Central Plateau including Whakapapa and National Park Villages.
With our collective experience living and working in the Central North Island, we can help with more than just transport, we will give our local and international visitors an insight into our region. Get advice and information about our local gems, including the best things to do, best places to ski, and other inside knowledge tourists wouldn’t know about.
While Adventure HQ Taupo’s key offering is their shuttle services to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and Mt Ruapehu, they can also provide alternative options for those closed mountain days with the introduction of a new “Taupo Sightseeing Shuttle”.

Paul and Annie went above and beyond.
They provided us with all the necessary information and transportation (with a smile) to and from the Tongariro alpine crossing. The also gave us lots of helpful advice on preventing blisters, right down to the toenail check! We had a great day and were glad that we chose them.

These guys manage to the cheery and helpful at 6.30am in the morning and never looked cross at us when we arrived late at the destination carpark.

Old bus, nice and friendly bus driver, on time, all shuttles to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing are overpriced.

great trip with plenty of exciting rapids.
Brochure stated water proof camera provided but not so. Learner guide bit too "enthusiastic". Photos at end of trip very expensive and limited at $30 for DVD. Good healthy sandwich (make your own) at conclusion.

I have the wrong spot - we went rafting.
We had a great trip down the river - my first rafting trip and we never managed to tip thanks to our guide, Dee. It was a day of firsts with a rock jump as well - something I wouldn't haved done without Dee not to mention the son in the background making sure his mother did it! Lots of sunshine, crystal clear water, many many rapids, chocolate fishes and stories to complete the day - thank you
