    End of march 2015 still nzd 30,- for two for a powered site :).

    Small space for campervans (4-5 sites), but right at the ocean's site. Lots of cabins. Great view with a little smell of (fresh) fish. No luxury, facilities could have a renovation but could be worse. Great host. Lots of fishermen there, perfect for surf fishing, I guess.

    This park was an unexpected gem.

    We had no expectations, and were extremely pleased with the outcome.

    First, we were situated in a powered RV site directly overlooking the beach. The weather was great, and to wake up to the surf lapping at the shore was so pleasant.

    We met some very nice neighbors from near Hamilton, and enjoyed their company greatly, such nice people.

    Then another plus was the café situated at the corner of the property. Our RV was about 30 feet away. We ate there twice, and really enjoyed the staff. Food was a 7 or 8, but ambience was a 10!

    Facilities were dated, but in decent shape. And the folks operating the park were very nice, and very responsive.

    We would go back to Maketu Beach without hesitation.

    parked on seafront, cheapest site at $25, not on any maps beautiful beach!

    Great spot with all lots facing the water.

    Not a whole lot of space but still felt private. Clean facilities and the owner was very nice. $30 for a site.
