Terrific Host. Awesome beach. Off the beaten track and no wifi which limits the audience, luckily. Fancy chickens...

Thought this was a good little caravan park, quaint with character, cheaper than others, right next to the beach.
Best camp kitchen we've come across so far in New Zealand. Good showers.

Wow! What a beautiful and relaxing spot!
We fell in love with the beach at Taieri Mouth before discovering this motor camp. I would describe the beach as a well kept secret, picturesque with an island, white sand, and clear water. There are rock pools and even a cave.
When we stayed at the motor camp we enjoyed the clean and adequate facilities including three showers, six toilets, a kitchen-dining room and a quiet camp site. It is such a hidden gem and the owners were friendly and welcoming.
We enjoyed the convenience of walking two minutes on a track through the sand dunes to the beautiful beach. We would like to stay again.

Loved it here.
The host was very friendly. It's right on the beach - you can access it through a quick walk through the sand dunes. A very homely place with a well-equipped kitchen with pots and pans, cutlery and plates. Roaming chickens. Chilly bathroom and a bit of a sad shower but in terms of the location - was very enjoyable.

Old fashioned but ok.
Unfortunately we had a lot of rain and the campsites next to the road were flooded so we all parked in the upper area.
The owner was very good to accept the campers desperate for à place (there was also a concert in Dunedin).

Facilities basic, but clean and worked well. Great kitchen, well stocked with crockery & cooking utensils. Told we could stay as late as we liked the next day.

This is one of my favourite places in a month of camping.
Right on a beautiful beach in a funky beach camp setting. Facilities were noting to brag about but clean and adequate. Big spaces to camp. Loved the kitchen area, felt like home. Very laid back atmosphere. No one was trying to chase us out by 10am. Was sorry to leave.

Great camp ground right on a beautiful near deserted beach.
Lots of sites on two levels, this is how NZ camp sites used to be. Very friendly hosts. Basic but adequate facilities. Peaceful & quiet.

Only stayed here for 1 hour.
There only appeared to be 1 shower. A couple of toilets each for men and women. Very basic. A few semi-permanent residents, and a small field for campers with electric. On the positive side, if you walk through the sand dunes the beach and estuary are fantastic
