Very cheap!
Only $30 powered for two of us. Great stop before heading to Mt Cook. Surprisingly, we were the only ones on the entire campgrounds, which was a huge space. The owner was very warm and welcoming! There are toilet, shower and kitchen facilities but they’re a little outdated. Still, was great to have a flushing toilet and then5 minute showers got warm very quickly so we enjoyed our stay!

Good place to camp near Oamaru, lots of space in shaded trees.
Two toilets unisex and some mens urinals also, not much of an issue though as a lot of people are in caravans. Small kitchen with two cooking areas and space for washing up.

Beautiful and peaceful setting among the trees with plenty of space and away from any road noise.
Facilities were clean and fine for us as there were only 3 other guests in the camp. If the camp was full kitchen and ablutions would probably not be sufficient. Owners were very warm and welcoming hosts. Great value for money.

Great family camping ground.
And must let pets in as we saw quite a few dogs. Clean tidy and friendly. We are a family of 7, and kids had a great time with so much space to ride around and play. Short walk to a river to swim in. And not far from beaches. Very generous sized campsites and very reasonable rates. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and hope to be back again one day.

Couldn't recommend this enough!
It was $12.50 per adult for an unpowered site. Clean bathrooms, rooms for hundreds of campers, nice kitchen facilities and washing machine (but no dryer). The showers were ideal and the site is in a great location!

Beautiful camping ground.
You can just come and register at the house (it is described). For 12,50$ pp it’s very nice. Clean toilets!!! Nice kitchen with fridge and freezer. And warm showers! Lovely and quiet place with many trees where you can park.

Had an unpowered campsite for a night and loved this place.
Quiet, off the road with open grassy areas for tents.
Facilities were clean and well above expectation for price point -- kitchen with fridge, kettle and stove; $2 washing machine and showers. (Two things you might want to note is showers are on a 5min timer, but they're hot with lovely water pressure. Second, the hot water in the kitchen has a 5-step, ten minute warmup process. We just boiled the kettle). Opportunity for a campfire as well.
At $12.50pp we though this was a steal and would have loved to stayed longer if we weren't flying out.
