    Got in at 7:30pm.

    Hosts were welcoming and friendly.

Although facilities were old they were extremely clean.

    16$ for the night.

    Thanks

Made welcome by custodian who advised facilities were basic but clean AFTER we had paid $40 ($20) each for a powered reasonably level site.

Facilities are certainly basic, very old, which isn't so bad, but needing maintenance and painting badly. Kitchen/lounge old and smelly.

We arrived after staying at a motorhome park in Riccarton which was attractive, beautifully maintained outside and inside, for $42 per nite for powered site with water on the site and a pristine dump station. Showers were free, laundry $4 per load.

Difficult to see how Waimate District Council can justify their charges at St Andrews.

    Won't stop there again.

Just popped in to use the loos, they are so clean for an older type building they smelt so fresh.

We will have to come and stay longer next time as we have elsewhere to go today.

Nice campsite just along the highway.

We only used it as a stopover but it has all the facilities you need - nice hot showers, really clean toilets, comfortable kitchen and lounge. However, price was $26 for a non powered site.

Nice basic facilities (hot shower) we were here in September so no staff just an honesty box.

Price was $14 per pperson for a powered site. Not much to see, we just used it as a stopover. Right next to train tracks so can get loud when trains passing.

Review: good basic spot for a overnight spot or longer.

For $10.00 per night for 2 persons you have showers, toilet, laundry facilities, a common room with electricity and cooking and for $15.00 you have the same with a powered site. It's a windy day so we haven't checked out the beach which is very close to us.

I'm sure it is a nice place when there aren't loads of workers there.

Currently loads of workers, it feels like you are in their house. No space at all in the kitchen, or to sit outside. Always people in the shower and cold water. If they are having this many workers they need to think about other campers comfort. Waiting for 10 mins to use the sink, and feeling like you are in a university common area.

Place is ok, but the people in the office have a tendency to dictate where to park, I like to be given choices, not told.

The 'office' is parked right on the ablution block and the Managers sit staring at you when you go to and leave the shower block, talk about feeling uncomfortable, we left after a shower. Managers have a dog so your dog should be ok there, even tho the advert says 'no pets'.
