Lovely site, loads of room and good choice of pitches.

Looks like it would get very busy in summer but there’s lots of toilets and showers and great indoor and outdoor kitchen areas. Super close to the mountain bike park and a short walk to the beach. I’ve never seen so many people cleaning a campsite so regularly it was positively sparkling and the staff were all so lovely!

Not far from town yet far enough to avoid the crowds.

The one near the beach reminds me of Orewa as a child (crowded and noisy).

Kitchen was great and the showers were excellent. It’s also very close to the MTB park.

Really great park, very clean, nice facilities.

Tons of showers and a great kitchen setup. A little pricey, we paid 46 for two ppl, non powered. No privacy between sites, but the sites are pretty big so it wasn't an issue. Wifi was pretty fast when it worked, but it kept disconnecting and the coverage was spotty.

The location is excellent, we couldn't spend a week on Kaiteriteri beach.

If you want to see Abel Tasman via one of the Sea Cruise boats, stay on this side of the park.

We stayed on the other side first and found out the hard way most boats depart from this side! Saving you a potential headache. Great Holiday Park. Spacious, clean, nice staff and walkable to the boat launch. You can easily walk and book tickets there, but breakfast venues are limited.

    Very good value for money.

We asked for a nice grassy spot and got exactly that. Plenty of room for our campervan. Beautiful campgroud with a nice walk to the beach. Facilities were good as well. Stayed for 2 nights.

Beautiful campsite a short stroll through woodland to the beach or back along the road via the bird reserve.

Spacious plot, plenty of facilities and everything clean and well maintained. Very family friendly. We got the Sea Shuttle from the beach for boat trip and walk in the National Park. Glow-worm walk next door well worth it. Lovely two days!

Very good place to stay if you want to explore the Abel Tasman NP.

It was full during our stay but this didn’t bother. 2$ for 3min for hot shower is a minus point. Friendly staff, helps you with advises in any questions. Beautiful mountain bike park in proximity, part of the Great Taste Trail. Have your bikes with you, it is highly recommended.

Hi Niko, glad you enjoyed your stay, and yes it is great location for exploring the area. Just to remind people, our showers are $.50 cents for three minutes of hot water, not $2.00. Yes indeed, bikes are essential, as we have plenty of places to bike, a great 30 minute bike back into Motueka for coffee or lunch along the Great Taste Trail.

Hi Sandra, thank you for commenting, so glad there was plenty of room for your tent! Yes we have large sites as we have about 30 hectares of land here at the head of the Kaiteriteri beach inlet. Hope to see you again one day.

    Rented a cabin.

Fees are a bit complex and Information is missing. So we only learned after paying, that there are no sheets for the beds included, and only because we saw a sign knew we also had to ask for change to get a hot shower.

If you’re over 1.80 the beds will be to short for you. At 195 and over 100kg you’ll definitely be better of in a tent. The mattresses are the cheapest foam mattress and (while still feeling new) you’ll feel the metal frame right away and you’ll be in for a painful night. Even at 90kg you’ll start feeling the metal frame soon.

If there is a youth group around, you’ll be in for a crowded kitchen area.

Besides that Everyone was friendly and the place was clean.

My tip to the operators: be more transparent about your fees and simplify your offers and get bigger, better beds for people over 1.90 meters where there is no barrier at the foot end.

    Cheers
