Good spot close to Mt.
Taranaki, ideal basecamp before the track, drinking water, facilities quite OK.

This campsite is awesome, with all the basic facilities and more (eg: running water on the toilets and sinks, motion sensor light, etc).
Lots of space and the whole area is fairly flat. It is a bit too close to the road so it can disturb a light sleeper (not my case). The only wish was that there was a donation box.

Really cool campsite.
Shade for night or morning depends on where you park. Playground for children or bigger children. Grass. Many spaces. BBQ. Shelter for cooking and table. Don't be afraid by spiders. It's free. Toilet not so bad. Rubbish. At least 3 taps.

TENT STOLEN (and everything else inside).
DO NOT LEAVE YOUR TENT UNATTENDED DURING THE DAY. Otherwise a good campsite with drinking water and big field, sensor lights in the toilets with toilet paper and soap in one toilet. Good for free.
