  • Im so pleased I came across this little gem.

    Very safe and secure.

Its primarily a Christian Camp for the kiddies but when possible public are welcome to stay. There was a group here when I stayed but I found it pleasant hearing the kids playing on the field and having fun. Nice energy to have around.

Reasonably priced and a good option to stay just out of Hamilton.

Lovely friendly staff.....would definitely stay again, thanks for having me.

  • Stayed 17/12/2024.

    $24 pp unpowered.

No benches or vanity in the bathroom, and only a few hooks. Showers were free.

    Bore water used.

    Kitchen and shelter provided.

Nice patch of grass for tent set-up, but was quite windy.

Saw absolutely no one during our stay.

  • This place wasn't too bad.

It was a quiet safe place to spend the night. They didn't have any kid camps scheduled while we were there, which was good. The amenities were a bit run down but they did the job. We paid $18pp a night (Sept 2016) for a powered site.

Thanks for the review - we're working on upgrading the amenities but being a non-profit it's a slow work in progress :) Come back anytime!

  • Even though this place is a Christian kids camp primarily, you can camp there and treat it as if it is a normal campsite.

The grounds are very pretty and spacious, we practically had the place to ourselves! It's an easy 15 minute drive to Hamilton city centre, and the Hamilton Gardens which are very beautiful and worth spending an afternoon at. The kitchen is very basic but if you have your own pots and pans in your van you will be fine. They have actually plumbed really good showers in so you can have unlimited, hot, powerful showers which was great! All in all, a great stay.

  • Facilities were fine, tidy toilets and showers.

$2 washing machine $6 drier. After three attempts at different driers and settings, we were still left with wet clothes. Massive earthworks going on at the moment.

Ya sorry about that construction... hopefully if you're back you can enjoy the upgrades.

Sorry to hear about that laundry machine problem too - I hope you came to the office and got your coins back! We have a spare laundry for future reference if anyone gets stuck... Feel free to come and stay again, it'll be on us for your trouble Brooke :)

  • A cheaper alternative to some parks in Hamilton.

A very big area and a nice manager. Big kitchen with hearth, microwave, fridge/freezer and water boiler but no pots/pans or cuttlery. Facilities not the newest ones but still okay, good hot showers. Could choose a spot in the huge area. Close to the street but not loud.

    Price: 12 $ pp

  • This camping site is run by a church mob and is good value for money at only $15 per person for a powered site It is a bit old but clean and well kept and the water was hot and in a pretty location.

It was quite busy with a youth group staying, but well run and I would stay there again. Stayed in March 2015.
