Luxury campsite.
Best located campground on cooks beach. Beautiful grounds that are immaculately maintained. Small kitchen and bathroom but had all you need. Very generous size campsites. Walking distance to beautiful beaches, ferry and eggcentric cafe (awesome food!). Lovely staff. They have shovels you can borrow to take to hot water beach. We were given some free tokens for the showers. We timed it during some digger work so it was a bit noisy but otherwise loved our stay here.

Expensive but worth it.
Beautiful campsite with excellent facilities. Very friendly staff. We literally had the whole camper van area to ourselves for 4 nights. Great restaurants nearby… Eggcentric Cafe and Cooked. The glass bottom boat trip was terrific. And you must go to Lonely Bay, just beautiful. When you go to Hot Water Beach don’t go too early vs low tide. The locals joke that they wait for the tourists to get fed up and leave then go lounge in the hot pools they’ve dug!

Very nice place.
Facilities are excellent and pretty much brand new. Kitchen is huge and clean. Lots of fridge and freezer space. Toasters and microwaves along with large gas hob. Free BBQ outside too. Bathrooms clean. We camped in our tent and the pitch was nice and big. Campsite was quiet at night and WiFi was very quick. Only downsides are that the lights from the roadway shone into our tent at night and it was also very expensive - NZ$60 for two people. We would stay again but price might deter us slightly.

The most well appointed campsite we stayed at!
Beautiful landscapes grounds, new buildings, immaculate stainless steel kitchen, modern bathrooms which played great music. The bay across the street was idyllic. They appear to be building more ensuite lofts so hopefully they keep the campervan sites going. We will definitely be returning!

We have spent 2 nights in this resort on a powered site during Xmas season in 2009.
This was our second night in NZ and we were not (yet) aware that some NZ campsites managers could try to crook campers. The first night was invoiced at a "normal" price (60 NZD) but the second has been invoiced at 131 NZD, supposedly because of "high season and fully booked camp"...while we discovered on the next morning that the camp was half empty. In addition, power was unexpectedly cut (the manager came to inform us of this at midnight...swearing we would get a discount, which was never granted afterwards) and the playground for the kids not available. Such a pity that a so nice environment is spoiled by such people.
The campsite is very basically equipped (only 1 bbq working at the time of our visit ; kids playground not opened while it was mentioned as available on the website,...) and well positioned to discover the wonders of this area. A bit difficult to find without a GPS though.
With an other management team and reasonable prices, would be an appreciable place.

Camping on grass in what feels like staying in a botanical garden.
Spacious pitches & the site is opposite a great sheltered beach.
The kitchen is basically catering standard with very clean stainless surfaces & sinks , full height fridges freezers and Bosch ovens!
The washrooms are immaculate , with really great showers.

Such a beautiful place to stay.
We had a powered site for our camper van for 1 night on 24th Dec. $70 for the two of us which was our most expensive site in the two weeks we’ve been touring around the North Island. I guess because it was Christmas Eve. The facilities were also the best we’ve had. A very large site with beautifully landscaped gardens including large trees for shade. Quite delightful. Steve and Therese also the best hosts we’ve had. Happy and enthusiastic with lots of good tips on what to do in the area. We had bikes so cycled over to Cooks Beach and at low tide could cycle right along the long beach on the hard low tide sand. Good fish and chips at Clark’s Beach. Had a beautiful swim along the beach. Also walked around the Shakespeare Cliffs walk and rode our bikes down to the ferry. Highly recommend this site.
