Beautiful location, nice calm bay if you have good weather.
Think it was $80 a night for 2 adults on a powered site.
Facilities are dated..
Showers have no time limit which is a bonus however the bathrooms are pretty old and could do with a good clean.
Very chill bachy feel to this place.
Kitchen facilities working however again could do with a revamp. 3 old bbqs that weren’t working however 1 new one been put in.
Would suggest bland bay around the other side or cruise up to Russell top 10 holiday park.
Okay for one night, don’t expect too much.
Would say average camp facilities but great location on the water

Visited in winter and could not park on the grass but plenty of hard surface parking around.
Location is awesome with a great view of the Ohawini Bay. Beach is nice but the downside is that it is also a road that provides access to beaches/homes. Saw some younger people speeding on the beach so I wouldn't be keen to sunbathe on the beach. Showers are hot, no coins required. The area around dumping facilities could do with a bit of a tidy up as there is a lot of rubbish around. Need to buy rubbish bags as a camper if you want get rid of your rubbish which is a bit weird as the owners should be absorbing to these costs. Just use the kitchen bins 😜

Nice location, with shell beach in front of parking site.
Staff polite and helpful, toilets/shower area very clean and tidy, owners are obviously very proud of the services they provide. Laundry facilities reasonably priced. Small shop on site. Worth drive!!!!

Can't understand how this place has such good ratings.
Had high hopes for it after a couple of nights freedom camping, was let down. From the list of rules at the gate and everywhere else we felt like we were at a school camp. Old facilities and no nice place to chill out inside. There was a coffee shop connected but that hadn't t opened by the time we left at 9.

Takes the top spot for our favourite campsite on the North Island.
Wonderful place. Super clean facilities, lovely hot showers, beautiful pitches overlooking the harbour and the friendliest camp folk and hosts ever. We even saw dolphins in the harbour one night. Magical place 😊

Good place with a lot of space for your campervan.
View directly into the bay. Facilities clean and tidy, free WiFi, free showers. But: we paid $47NZD for 2 adults on a powered site, which is quite expensive. Maybe the reason why there were in total only 3 campers...

Beautiful, quiet site, right on a small beach.
$33 for two people on a powered site at the end of March. Only one other campervan. Very clean and spacious kitchen, hot showers and bathrooms. Would return & recommend.
