I went on a tour with Toru Tours and it was amazing.

The tour consists of a visit to a suburban Marae (you learn a Maori song and alphabet on the way). This was worthwhile all on its own, all the traditional welcoming ceremony and then a cup of tea and chat about our different cultures and in depth information. Then a guided tour of the Auckland Musem, lunch, Auckland Zoo - a personal guided tour, Mt. Eden, One Tree Hill, drive through Mission Bay, Baston Point with information. They advertised that it is a 16 seater, pick up and drop off at hotel and they take place no matter how many people. This is true, I was the only one! but they did not skimp on anything!

Paul picked us up at our hotel and filled the day with great attentiveness.

We really enjoyed our time with a Maori family and learning more about their history. He was very flexibvle in changing the itinerary to make sure that we got to see as much of Auckland as possible. He was knowledgeable and very well organized. We would highly recommend Toru Tours

I had a few hours in Auckland between docking and getting to the airport so took a half day tour with Paul at Toru Tours...

I was very impressed with the tour and seeing a bit of Auckland but the highlight was the wealth of knowledge Paul shared about Maori culture, history and customs, it was fascinating. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting Auckland...

One day well spent in Auckland.

Paul was friendly and attentive right from the time he picked me up from the hotel in the morning. He was always ready to share his great love and extensive knowledge about the Maori culture and history. If Paul didn't know an answer to any question, he would find it out before the next part of the tour. The Marae, museum, zoo were so informative. The sights at Mt Eden, the working farm and Bastion Point were amazing. Once again, thanks Paul.
