Nice kayaking in beautiful scenery with a good interpretation by our friendly guide Morty.
We saw a couple of fur seals. We were in a group of 7 people and it is good that it was not crowded. Price $155. They provide you with all the clothes you need.

Great value for money offered by this product which is a morning kayaking followed by a water taxi back to the port.
Our guide was fantastic and we were able to get close to the penguins and seals.

I did the Morning Glory trip.
As you kayak the entire length of the Sound it is quite strenuous but it is so worth it. It is really peaceful and you get to see the stunning scenery as well as wildlife much closer than on a tour boat - we saw seals and penguins. Only 9 out of 10 due to man eating sandflies!

I would give this trip an 11 if I could.
We were lucky, with great weather, and a pod of bottlenose dolphins who played with us for around 15 minutes. Beyond that, our guide, Adam, was friendly, well informed, and fun. The preparation phase was well done and fairly quick, and nice gear is provided. Milford Sound is a fantastic place to kayak, we loved it. We did the Sunriser Classic, it is a good trip. The groups are small, only 4 kayaks plus the guide in our group. And did I mention dolphins? A lifetime peak experience!

Kayaked with Roscos on their Stirling Sunriser trip.
The trip was ideal for us as we were given freedom to explore the Fjord. Our guide was knowledgeable about local geology, flora and fauna.

The Morning Glory trip is amazing!! You are the first ones on the Fijord at 6am. And if you are lucky, in addition to the numerous seals, you will see dolphins! Best experience in New Zealand so far.

Definitely go on one of the early morning tours to avoid cruise ships. All the warm clothing, dry bags are included. Had an amazing tour with a great guide and small group.

You will see more on a guided boat trip, but being closer to water and doing it with your own strength is the best way. Ask for Harlem!

We arrived in Milford Sound the afternoon before in an apocaplyptic storm which resulted in the road being closed due to a rock slide, so we thought our chances of going out were minimal.
However, the next morning the storm had passed and although slightly blowy we were able to get out on the water. Roscos provided all the clothing/safety gear required and after kitting out and a safety brief we launched. The clouds parted and we were treated to the most glorious views all around the sound. the paddling was easy and nicely paced, so no need to worry if you're a novice. On the way in we were taken into a secluded grove which was a marvellous end to the trip. Our guide was attentive and very informative throughout. Highly recommended

We had a great kayak trip with Roscos, we were lucky enough to see dolphins during our trip.
They were very well organized and it was very easy to book with the discounted clip we got from rankers. We recommend Roscos and also the super awesome Rankers app if you are going to travel in NZ

We did the Morning Glory which is quite long but on a good day totally worth it. Super professional guide. If you can, try and arrange it so that you're down there with good weather, it'll be the highlight of your trip.

This is the absolute best way to see the sound!!!!
We had a fabulous guide and 4 double kayaks in our group (they keep the groups small so that is super nice). We took the 12km trip at 9 am and it was great! They have everything you need to wear and make sure you are comfortable. Our guide Marley was fantastic and shared great facts about the area with us! We saw seals and penguins and a mother dolphin and her baby swam under our kayak! Fantastic experience!

Wouldn't do Milford Sound any other way.
Saw heaps of seals (5+), saw a Fiordland Penguin feeding on a fish, and Stirling Falls from directly underneath.
What a day!
Don't need to be overly fit to take part in these either.
Good 3hr trip :)
