Information

The Lodge at Whakapapa is a great type of accommodation for backpackers or people who require little more than a comfortable bed to sleep in at night while exploring the Tongariro National Park.

Our Lodge has toilets and showers and there is a large lounge and dinning area available where you can meet with likeminded people for a drink and a chat, or use it just for relaxing after a hard day in the mountains.

Warm yourself by the log fire or catch up on the outside world on the large screen TV. The Lodge has five dorm rooms with between 4 and 8 single bunk beds. If this is your choice of accommodation, please note that you’ll need to bring your own bedding and all your own cooking equipment for cooking in the camp grounds large communal kitchen.

These are backpacker style beds.
