My husband and I chartered a Bavaria 38 for 12 days in the Hauraki Gulf - an excellent cruising area.

She was very carefully maintained and sailed very well. Also a very good, reliable engine. Well equipped with lots of useful storage space.

Peter Drew was exceedingly helpful and friendly. He helped to ensure that we had a really good holiday.

Chartering from a great distance like Germany can be tricky - not so with CharterLink.

From the beginning CharterLink was perfect: Our charter was launched on Saturday. When I wrote to Rob that we would be traveling with a camperhome before the sailing trip he immediately suggested to bring our luggage already on Friday on the yacht. Rob is very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and relaxed.

Most of our sailing so far was in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. The Hauraki Gulf is a nice sailing area, too – we really loved it – wunderbar! Yacht condition was very good with everything you need. Location of the marina is perfect, out of the city but easily reached by ferry.

Excellent experience – We chartered at very short notice.

We received a great welcome and were treated very professionally. Directions, parking details and how to find the boat were very simple and clear. The boat was prepared and in excellent condition when we arrived with everything we required for the 2 day charter. The operation of the boat was carefully explained to us and all questions answered in a positive manner. The boat handled very well and was a delight to sail, we all felt safe and enjoyed the sailing experience. The crew were on the Dock to meet us on our return and helped us tie up and tidy up the boat. We could not fault the service provided. Thanks to Rob and his team. We will be back again soon.

We -6 people- hired a sailing boat in Picton and spent 3 nights on the Queen Charlotte Sound.

We saw dolphins and caught some nice fish. I was a really nice trip.

I can personally recommend Charterlink, Rob and his team and fleet of boats.

I think we have tried 80% of the fleet over the last few years. Whilst we have always taken the sailing fleet we decided to try power and have just been out in "Indulgence" for a week. Although it is an older boat it was in great condition and had all the home comforts. I am fussy with where I spend money pocket money but never have given a second thought with Charterlink. If you want a stress free boating holiday there is only one company to choose.

4 adults & 2 kids on 36' True North.

Quite an eventful trip! We've chartered boats on West Coast of Scotland, Croatia, Greece, Whitsundays & Bay of Islands. We'd rate this trip as 9/10 for Rob & Brett (friendly & great advice, especially before the 65 kt gale blew in) but only 6/10 for True North (a bit tired looking compared to previous charters, heads smell in fwd cabin, aft water gauge not working & tank ran out after 1 day of frugal use- causing rationing, a failed diversion to Coromandel Wharf with 0.2 m under keel and no showers etc). The boat sailed and handled well though. North Harbour (Chamberlain Bay) a great anchor spot during a 65kt SW gale. Anchor didn't slip an inch. With all the high winds on and off, the lifejackets were also on and off, causing one to inflate as the unseen dangling dongle got caught! (ouch, $92.50 re-charge)

We have used CharterLink every year the last 6 years trying various kinds of the yachts and catamarans.

Every time it has been a 10 out of 10 experience. Rob and Brett never cease to deliver top service and so far all the boats have been a great experience. Comparing with the sailing we have done in Europe I consider the Hauraki Gulf & Bay of Islands to be a sailing paradise.

Katherine the Bavaria 32 was in excellent condition.

The swim platform was especially useful making her the perfect charter yacht for two couples. The staff at charterlink were extremely helpful. Thanks Janet and Brett.

We had a great time and if we don't buy our own yacht and sail it home we'll come and charter from you again.

An excellent chartering experience.

The yacht was well maintained and immaculately presented. The staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. I would definitely use charterlink again, although it is a shame that the prices are significantly higher than similar boats in the Bay of Islands

Chartering a yacht, particularly from a distance - the UK in our case, can be tricky - not so with CharterLink.

The booking process was deftly handled by Janet in the office and when we arrived Brett immediately lent us the firm's car to pick up our luggage from the hotel and the easily chosen very high quality food (and wine!) for the week from the nearby supermarket. The briefing was thorough and everything worked and we were on our way an hour after the stated time for the charter to start with "Elizabeth Reed", a Bavaria 30 for my wife and I to sail for a week.

We used to have our own boat and most of our sailing was in west Scotland, in my opinion the best sailing in Europe (despite the weather), because of the enormous variety of island destinations - there is always one to suit the wind direction and how far you want to go. The Hauraki Gulf offers exactly that but in a very much better climate. The result was a hugely enjoyable week and at the end there was Brett on the fuel jetty waiting to berth the boat in that day's strong wind and to check that all was well.

Let it also be said that CharterLink's rates offer good value and the client has all the advantages of dealing with Brett and Rob, the on-the-spot proprietors who know the firm's boats inside out and who offer the best of personal service.

We chartered Bella Rosa, the Barvaria 46 just before Christmas.

Our experience with CharterLink was easy and efficient from the booking process through to the upbeat briefing by Brett at the beginning of our charter and the relaxed handover and debrief with Rob at the end of our trip. Bella Rosa accomodated two families around the Hauraki Gulf with ease - four adults and four children. Everything worked well and was as described. An excellent holiday - and a fantastic way to give visitors from the UK a taste of New Zealand. We will definitely use CharterLink again on a regular basis and look forward to taking the Bavaria 28 out for our family of four next time. Thanks guys, an excellent time had by all.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time sailing the Tangaroa (Bavaria 33) around Waiheki Island for four days.

The highlight of the trip was in the Hauraki waters sailing together with a group of 5/6 dolphins, awesome!!

The Tangaroa was excellent as well as the service provided by Charterlink, Brett in particular, thanks!
