Nice guided tour through the factory (well at least part of it).
Our guide (Jesse) was very nice and funny! They give you fluent, warm chocolate for tasting and other chocolate bars for free. A little boring, it might be better for children.

Interesting tour through the factory where you learn more about making chocolate.
Free chocolate tasting. It is sad that you cannot look into the production rooms.

The cadbury tour wasn't that fantastic.
we didn't go into the production area but just outside the production area. Nothing much close up views on how chocolate was made, pack, or even seal. The cadbury shop was great. they have a wide range of chocolate which i can't find in singapore. some of their chocolate are not meant for export to other country.

We planned their tour for the birthday of our daughter, but it was absolutely a very weak programme, not interesting at all!

I was at the factory on December the 18th and the machines that make the chocolate were off and in maintenance.
I didn't see how the chocolate is made and I was disappointed for that. The price was $22 for an adult.

Guides that are tired of explaining. Explanations are too short.

Bit of a rip off but good for kids 40 to 50 years ago!!
Used to be able to go through the factory (Health and Safety reasons).

Unfortunately, probably our least favorite activity in our 3 1/2 weeks in NZ.
Over priced entry and products for sale but did like the bag of goodies. We were most impressed (and not in a good way!) by the rather snide and cynical way our guide spoke of her company and product!

$23 dollars for a 1-hour tour?
We passed and explored the overpriced shop. Most of their candies are available at the petrol stations cheaper!
I'm sure the tour is novel for those truly interested, but we opted to save our cash.

We had a great time here.
It appears to matter which day you visit as to how much of the plant is in operation but we got to see all sorts of really interesting things taking place. Some of the websites say its not suitable for under 5's but that is not true you just have to carry them in one of the supplied carriers which was actually quite fun. Half the ticket price we must have left with in free chocolate. And they were REALLY good and nice to our 1 year old. Highly Recommended.

This is an overly-sanitised humourless tour of a very historic factory.
Over-zealous health-and-safety rules has meant you cannot get to any of the interesting bits of the factory, and the need to appeal to guests from all over the world means that the use of language is dull by the guides. Do not expect jokes or banter.
To add insult all of the bits and pieces I bought from the shop at the end had "Made in Australia" written on them.

A good bargain on a tourist trap.
$18 for an hour long tour full of delicious chocolate smells and chocolatiering information. The free samples probably came to half the price of the entry ticket, more if you answer questions along the way. We went home with five uneaten chocolates apiece!
The tour is interesting, though impersonal. The information was not tailored to the group and didn't go beyond the "factory tour" standard information, ie what is the product, what are the pieces that go into it, why is ours better, etc.
Worth going, just to smell the chocolate and taste the samples.
