Lucky Bay Campsite

Small, scenic campsite with great views, popular with sea kayakers and boaties. Catherine Cove Resort and French Pass are nearby.

The Lucky Bay Camping Ground is a tiny remote campsite on D'Urville island. No fires permitted at any time.

Notices

  • Access road to French Pass Campsite closed

    Due to rockfall, French Pass Road is closed about 0.5 km from Te Aumiti/French Pass settlement.

    It is not yet known when the road will be able to reopen. Marlborough Roads engineers are assessing the site.

    This picture is not of Lucky Bay camp ground.

    It is an old picture taken about 3km away from Lucky Bay. Taken from the road on private land looking down the opposite side of the island into Grevielle Harbour. Most of the land seen in the photo is also private.
