Awesome tour!
A bit lengthy and very historical, but very interesting. Amazing tour guide that lets you take control of the taps during tasting! So fun!

Just spent half the day at the brewery.
We went for the 12pm tour and as it turned out - its was just us and the guide (lovely lady by the name of Lara). So we got our own personalised tour which was great - didn't realised how " old school" the brewery was (was still brewing in the old copper kettles up until October of last year).
So following the tour we ended up in the bar sampling beers for what seemed a lot longer than 30 minutes! The only reason for leaving was that we had also booked the lunch (which was delicious), and Lara had another tour to do. A real Dunedin experience with southern hospitality to boot!

If your a beer or home brew enthusiast you will love this tour.
You go right into a working brew house and see how it all works, some people in our group were home brewers and looked like they got some really good value looking at the process and asking questions. As the brewing process here is quite simple with no bottling plant or anything some of the tour is a little bit padded out with history and nick-nacks to look at, its really a 20 minute tour of the plant followed by an hour of padding. At the end you get to sample as much free beer as you can handle in their bar!

LOVED IT and I am not a beer drinker!
Our kids even enjoyed it (especially their soft drinks at the end...). Very informative guide and we loved the fact you were able to walk through the factory, not just look from behind glass. Great combo deal with Cadbury tour too....will recommend to anyone who goes to Dunedin! A Hughlight of our trip to NZ

Loved this tour & the 30 mins of pouring & drinking your own Speights beers & cider at the end of the tour, meal was yummy too.
Speights Gold Medal Ale is our favourite beer, shame we can't buy it in Australia guys :-(

The best of the big brewery tours (better than Tui and Monteiths).
If you team it up with Cadbury World you get a discount.

Great location and nice to taste beer at end but tour was a bit rushed.
There was too much Speights PR videos and beer history at start.
