Located on outskirts of the city and compact sites.
Mixture of longer term campers and shorter term tourists. Facilities of high quality and immaculately clean. Free hot showers. $40 for 2 for a powered site. Power and water on site. Communal dump station. Excellent place to do laundry and separate BBQ area. Handy to Bluff for delicious oysters and 360 views from Bluff lookout

Travelling to Invercargill it was getting late and decided we needed to stop for the night.
We had fully self contained caravan needed no facilities and were charged $45 just to park next to a pond and were serenaded all night by the quacking of ducks!!

Facilities were clean and good quality with great free showers.
The wifi was so slow to load that we gave up - effectively there is no wifi. The host wasn't overly welcoming.
Don't expect a holiday park atmosphere as everyone around us was long-term permanent and we got the feeling we were imposing on their patch. This would put us off staying here again.

Great stay.
We checked in at 9 pm and lady was very nice. Lots of cars but most people had already left by 9am. Must say cubicle bathrooms and toilets were the cleanest we have ever come across on our roadtrips. Bonus when bathroom is heated all day!

I can’t say enough about the pleasure of having warm bathroom - heat pump and dehumidifier meant I was not dressing in a damp cold place in a wintry southerly !
Hats off to the owners for their care of their guests. The ducks and other waterfowl in the pond an added extra. Quiet and a short drive to “downtown” Invercargill. Highly recommended.

This park feels freedom, yet warmth and sufficient.
To be honest, the Central Park is smaller, close to town and everything and almost similar with this park, I felt campervanning and relaxing at this park.

We stayed one night in mid winter (August) in our Britz van, facilities clean and bathroom WARM, with unlimited super hot shower which was amazing.
Limited free WiFi (only 100mb) which did not go far as signal was not the greatest. Only downside was there happened to be a couple of leery men (who were having a few drinks) staying in the cabin near the toilets, I felt a bit wary going to have a shower at night as anyone can actually walk into the shower block if they wanted too. I would suggest having a pin code lock with a regularly changing code for both women’s and men’s toilets. I made my husband come and wait outside the shower block to feel a bit safer. This is in no way the fault of the park just what happened to be there the night we stayed.

Clean facility's, friendly staff, lovely gardens and ducks and swans in the pond.
Some free and good internet. There is some road noise overnight only if your site backs on to the road, ours did not and it was quiet. I enjoyed our stay here

This Motor camp caused me major problems.
I was staying at another motor camp just out of town but wanted to move somewhere closer. Rang Amble two days before moving was told they could give me a tent site for the 2 weeks I was looking for. Packed up my campsite and arrived at Amble at around 10am to check in and was told that I could not stay there as my tent would kill the grass if i left it up for 2 weeks. I was fuming they confirmed I could stay there a couple days before hand. They sent me to another motor camp in town and I was turned away cause owner asked what i do for a living and I told him Im not working at the moment not that it was any his business. I gave up on the motor camps in invercargill freedom camped out of town and went back to my home town a week earlier. Ive never been treated with such disrespect by the holiday park industry in invercargill Im in my late 40s and have traveled around nz a lot. First time in Invercargill and tell you what it will be my last time. thanks Amble park for spoiling my holiday plans and lying by offering me a tent site then turning me down causing me many problems once I arrived there... I would say staying away from this campsite would be the best move you could do

Probably the best shower I’ve had in the whole of NZ.
Nice little tent sites with hedges in between for some privacy. Free hour of WiFi was nice and kitchen facilities were good to. Just out of Invercargill and no road noise was nice to!

Nice, quiet park just on the edge of Invercargill.
Clean and the warmest bathrooms we had in our 4 weeks trip this winter, so great! Well equipped kitchen and solid ground to park on, so no muddy shoes at bad weather.

Stayed 2 nights here.
Really lovely. Parked down by the duck pond would recommend, it's nice to hear the ducks in the morning. The shower and toilet block was heated which was unreal as it was freezing when we were there. Fantastic showers, really hot, powerful and spacious. The only negative was that the kitchen area was absolutely freezing.... No heating!
