Really nice quiet camping, $10 per person per night with electric.

Shower, cooker, fridge, freezer, hot water. Loads off walks and cycle routes. Also has electric bbq's outside to use and a kids play area.

Excellent place to spend night : $10/pp for night : powered / not powered / tent sites.

Plenty of gravel spaces (in two gravel areas) just in case it rains. Hot showers (5 mins timer then 5 mins must break) with really good adjustable temp. Kitchen area with 2 big freeze, sinks etc. This place could be 10/10 if bathrooms kitchen bld cleaned regularly : it seems it’s not cleaned every day. Showers and toilets are in superset bld : old but really good. Dump station not convenient for big vehicles or after rain but good and operational.

With 10$ pp for a powered site it was really cheap.

However it was extremely muddy and the amenities are very very old and not to nice.

Beautiful spot in park like setting beside a creek.

10 mins out of Gore but worth the drive. We were the only ones there the night we stayed. Toilets ok, kitchen and shower basic and could have used a sweep out but perfectly adequate. Great hot shower though! Great value for money at $10pp for a powered site. A few sandflies here and there but not a major problem. The only downside was the dump station was across a wet soggy field so not that suitable for heavy vehicles after a decent rain. Other dump stations available at Gore though. Would definitely return!

Beautiful campsite with a creek and multiple tramping routes that start from it.

Very basic but shower is great and electric bbqs work perfectly. Bathrooms so so. We paid 5pp for unpowered if I remember correctly. No WiFi but there is free Wi-Fi in town centre. Would def stay here again

Truly a beautiful, scenic campground next to a nicely arranged little park.

A creek delivers a relaxing sound atmosphere. If you didn't hear few cars racing the road, it'd be perfect.

The kitchen is basic and provides no hot water (maybe on accident the time we were hear?). The water toilets are okay and the showers are free.

You can start a couple of tracks right from the campground which is very convenient.

    To be recommended!

For $10pp for a powered site, you cannot go wrong!

Better than many paid sites for double the price!! We stayed for one night on our way to Dunedin from Milford Sound and it was just 10 mins from the main road passing through Gore. The park is huge, clean and very pretty. We were the only ones that stayed too which was a nice surprise, it was silent all night :-). Hot shower for 5 mins, toilets, big kitchen and inside area with books and seats, dump station and water refilling. Definitely worth staying if you want a peaceful night without all the frills!

    Lovely scenic grounds.

Basic toilets but clean. Great hot shower. Extremely friendly man who collected our fees. Biggest problem was the arrival well after dark of about 4 - 5 noisy cars hooning around us & up and down all the tracks and tearing up the lawns. It was very frightening as we were the only campers there & had no phone coverage.
